This whole world shuts down while I get to keep working thing has really helped me catch up and even get ahead of some things. also has caused some previously contested cases to get settled. I was all set to go to trial over a friggen thumb case where the two sides were about $4500 apart cause I'm dealing with a real piece of shit company, but last week they decided it wasn't worth it anymore and they came up with the money I was looking for to settle the case. I've had a few go that way in the past couple weeks.

taking on extra jobs has kept me from being all caught up. Im also the receptionist for the foreseeable future. Doors are locked so no one is coming in, but I have to answer the phones. Brought my wife in to do it one day last week, but sent her home after only getting 3 calls all morning. I've been handling it ever since and lately its picking up. At one point I answered 5 or 6 calls in a 15 minute span. It can get pretty hectic. also have to do some of my assistant's work. She's working from home, but we're not completely set up for that so there's some things she can't do. Tomorrow I have to put together and mail out 10-15 subpoenas. Busy work, it will take up a good chunk of time.

I got a text from my cousin tonight, he works in another department at the same plant I do. One of the guys in the office with him on Sunday just tested positive. They are providing masks, but not requiring them. I go back to work tomorrow night. Crap.

I went to the bank drive thru today. Of course it is a computer screen and some lady from who knows where comes on to assist me. She is wearing a mask. It really caught me off guard. I almost made a sarcastic remark about being thankful to see her with a mask to ensure that I didn't get sick. But I decided against it since everyone is so on edge lately.
