Yeah, I'm wondering if we just saw the end of Kim, putting herself there to be known.

And then maybe the end of Lalo as a result.

First good episode of the season.

I enjoyed this last episode. Really interested in seeing what happens with Lalo, Nacho, and Kim.

I wouldn't call the desert episode like the Fly, but more like Walt and Jessie in the RV and they couldn't get it to start.

Solid episode last night. The finale should be solid. I would think the episode will be 90 minutes at least. I'm thinking at least one of the 3 gets killed off, if not more.

Kim will make it past next week. They aren't going to kill her off with a full season left.

I was half-convinced that she was a goner last night when Lalo was the one who knocked.

Thought Kim and Lalo were going to get it on the same shot.

Just don't have much to say really. I mostly come here to talk about sports. I'll be around during the draft.

If/When Boylen gets fired I think I'll find the time to start caring about the Bulls again

Yeah the finale is next. I'm trying to figure out how next season goes. Will it be half Saul and the last half as Gene, or do we only get a episode or a few minutes of Gene?

can someone refresh my memory as to the murder Lalo committed in the US? The victim's family showed up in court. For the life of me, I have no recollection of that at all.

SPOILERS below....

Season 4 ep 10. Lalo was tailing Mike when Mike was looking for Werner. He followed him to the currency exchange then lost him later? He went back to the currency exchange and whacked the kid behind the counter to watch video to see what Mike was doing/going.

Saul's demeanor in Breaking Bad is not of a traumatized or kept-under-duress guy, so I doubt Kim will be murdered.

By the same vein, her offing herself would probably cause similar trauma, so now I'm going to say that Saul chooses the cartel over her and she splits town. Odd that Gene wouldn't look her up on down the road if that was the case, though.

Kim willl turn to the DARK SIDE, forcing her into a self-loathing, dysfunctional tailspin.

The show seems to be drawing parallels between the Jimmy/Saul-Kim relationship/metamorphosis and the Walt/Heisenberg-Skylar relationship/metamorphosis.

I was initially skeptical of your hypothesis. But as I typed out my reasoning I see what you mean. The character arcs are different, yet similar. Will be interesting to follow these last few episodes and see how it plays out. If anything is different, the new Kim is drawn to the darkside like a fly to light. She's good at being bad and is getting enjoyment out of it. Skylar never reached that level. She did some things that seemed more self serving (carwash). Kim's motives are still unknown.

Based on Saul's first meeting with Walt and Jesse in BB ("It was Ignacio! He's the one!...Lalo didn't send you?"), we should assume that Lalo and Nacho survive BCS, right?

Tuco is in charge of the operation by that time. Since neither character has any involvement in the BB universe, I believe Lalo is taken out or forced into hiding. Mike is very fond of Nacho and will find a way to help him escape by retrieving his "go bag" with passports and $$. Jimmy has a fresh 100k and will use it to buy a new dust filter for the Hoover MaxExtract PressurePro model 60 as a going away present for Kim.

It would be awesome if they had filmed a final scene with Robert Forster before he died.

Kim leaves Jimmy when he chooses the cartel over her. Then he goes and finds her again while he is hiding under the assumed name working at Cinnabon.

She had the chance, but in a total turnaround, asked him to get married. Last episode, when Jimmy told her the only reason he made it through the desert was the thought of returning to her, I think that just sealed the deal. She's in.

Women do have a tendency to change their minds, but I'm going with my heart here and predicting she goes the vacuum route. Remember, she was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska.

The Lalo/Nacho plot was way more interesting than Saul/Kim.

Overall a mediocre season imho.

Good season but a weirdly disappointing finale.

Kim is oddly positioned to really fuck Saul up next season if the writers so choose.
