Just reaffirmed my opinion that Vedder is a douche.

God, just thinking about Steelheart makes me giggle.

When I was a sophomore in HS, I was in a band with seniors and someone had the great idea of playing Save The Weak by Britny Fox at our Spring variety show. It was as wretched as it sounds.....

Good call on Van Halen, Elvis Costello, and I'd throw in the Cars, too.

"Never Mind the Bollocks" is the best debut album IMO, but it's kind of their only true album.

Yeah, just give that Beatles' hate up. They're on another planet. They don't belong on a list like this...because they're all alone.

Yeah VH and GnR, that is the list. Thanks for playing guys, now lets get back to the greatness of Monster Ballads.

"The Stooges," but I would stop short of objectively saying it is better than "Appetite." I'd say "Nothing's Shocking" is as good, if you count that as Jane's Addiction's first album (there was a live album prior to that, as was the case with GnR.)

I can respect their contributions...especially later with production work. However, everything they did pre Revolver is pop dreck. And an immediate change the channel when listening to radio.

That Ramones debut was top notch...29 minutes of fast and furious awesomeness.

Is "Love Hurts" the first power ballad? The scene in Dazed and Confused was similar to my memory of junior high with Steelheart and Slaughter.

Fly to the Angels is very underrated. I think maybe Slaughter get overlooked because the cheese factor wasn't as strong with them. The video is really good and they don't do a lot of posing unlike White Lion and Wait. The cheese is very strong in that one. The drummer even has a gong. I'm not aware of any White Lion songs that required a gong.

Love Hurts is a good call, it very well maybe.

Fly the Angels is awesome!

Appetite is a pretty damn flawless album. I'm not going to argue for or against anything I'm not versed in...Ramones, Cars, Dave Matthews Band....

Rage Against the Machine had a nice debut. Arguably their best album.

It's The Doors / The Doors

Not very close.

Well, you may have me.

I'll have to give them a listen if they have stuff better than -

Break on Through
Soul Kitchen
Alabama Song
Light My Fire
Back Door Man
The End

I'll throw in Take It as It Comes also. I think that is an underrated song. I don't think there is a bad song on there, maybe Crystal Ship.

I have never been a big Doors fan.

IMO GnR Appettite is at the very least in the team photo for greatest rock album of all time.

I think, if someone shook GnR and combined Use Your Illusion I & II into one album, they might have been on the medal platform with that edited album.

Yeah it would have been better as one album with the best songs, but I actually liked both albums. They are not on the same level as Appetite, but still pretty good.

I like to hear that. I have always thought it was the best of that trilogy. November Rain is great and gets all the attention, but Estranged is top notch.
