It is clear to me that the World Health Organization and its backer, China, have intentionally allowed this virus to be transmitted throughout the entire world and then scared the shit out of the countries of the world about the virus itself and its lethality. Clearly the WHO's projection of the lethality of this virus was wrong and resulted in entire countries shutting down their economies while China destroys the evidence and is now OPEN FOR BUSINESS. This virus was intentionally spread via its own infected Chinese people, they overstated its toxicity, and panicked the world and resulted in panic and over-reaction.

This was deliberate. It was conjured out of a Chinese lab and may have been a product out of a infectious disease war scenario honchoed by that John's Hopkins czar that appeared on Wallace's show Sunday who blamed Trump for his "inaction" in this pandemic. They literally game planned how to spread a corona type virus across the world and defeat the existing defenses of countries across the world. It is amazing to me that this shit has not been exposed. Clearly decided to try it out and guess what, it worked.

It's crazy they are the 5th largest economy but only about 2-3% of the world gdp. I never realized how wealthy we are.

For the same 2-year assessment, China paid $37M for '18-19.

India and China have 2.7 billion people. We have 350 million and paid $118M.

I'm not saying we should cut funding. I'm no WHO expert (I do play a mean pinball) but that does not seem right from a financial perspective. We are stepping up where others are not. But, maybe there is something I don't understand about it - which is a good bet in general.

In general India and China pay very little to nothing for any worldwide effort that doesn't direct benefit them.

On a micro level, when there are doctor conferences worldwide Chinese and Indian doctors mostly rely on travel grants or pharma funded eduction locally. American doctors pay dues and pay out of pocket mostly. I realize there are different wealth levels. But these foreign doctors are not exactly paupers. It's an interesting cultural thing to witness.

From the stuff I was reading today it's because we can. Our per capita is much larger than china or India. Japan is similar to our and that's why they tend to get dinged, same or the UK. Then other countries sometimes kick in supplies. We are suppose to be able to influence things and we probably do but I'm guessing there's a lot that is administrative and it's crooked/corrupt like everything else.

This was our duty when we were the dominant economic force in the post WWII paradigm. But it can't be that China takes all our jobs, poisons us, and we continue to be the primary funder of global organizations that do nothing but undermine our interests.

Let's dial it back just a bit. World health is something that benefits us a great deal. American conglomerates operate in China, India etc etc. We benefit a great deal by keeping a free world economy flowing smoothly....healthy. our interests are in all of these countries.
What is most frustrating is how China chose to give/withhold information from the rest of the world. The WHO may not be the best organization but the concept of the organization is important for our interests. If it operates correctly it's worth the investment. In this case it didn't.
