I really didn't. I was talking about my own personal feelings. I used to really dislike Phil. Now I don't care enough about him to have any feelings like that. I just think it's funny to see him sit there and allow Krause to be the bad guy. It's typical Phil.

All Bulls fans loved Krause. They just didn't have enough sense to know it. I wonder how many championships a nucleus of Jordan, Oakley, and Walter Davis would have won.

Well get back to it then and don't concern yourself with making someone a "better" poster. Aight

Yeah, they don't want to mention that the reason Phil left was because Reinsdorf wouldn't give him Krause's job.

I don't mind pj going after Krause's job given how Krause antagonized everyone who had to deal with him. I'm more pissed off at Phil for rubbing Jerry West the wrong way in LA.

Phil is a backstabbing asshole. If Pippen and Jordan had beef with Krause, that's one thing. But we wouldn't even be talking about Phil if not for Krause. He was driving the bus for the Albany Patroons when Krause threw him a lifeline.

I thought Reinsdorf wanted Phil due to his connection with the Knicks championship team.

He deserves immense credit for the Pippen trade. However there were a ton of bombs in there. He flamed out on a ton of moves that he made during those years.

The two Jerry's aren't worth defending.

We have about 40 years of facts to prove that both are pathetic pieces of shit.

I said this before, but when this documentary is over, more people will come around on the idea that Reinsdorf is a shit owner who lucked into buying a team that had just drafted the GOAT. He deserves next to no credit for the 6 Bulls titles and as for the Sox, 1 title in 40 years and only 5 playoff appearances in that period with 4 first round exits. Fuck that cheap miserable piece of shit Jerry Reinsdorf.

Pretty much everyone misses more than they hit.

The Cartwright deal was really controversial at the time. That was an important trade and it set up the first threepeat.

There were all kinds of things no one even thinks about. Useful guys Krause brought in to play roles. Guys like Cartwright and Harper were used to being centerpieces and scorers, they had nagging injuries that diminished them somewhat, but Krause was smart enough to know that he didn't need scoring and that those specific guys were going to be willing to take a backseat and play defense without tearing apart the team worrying about "their touches".

It would slot right in with Voice Of The White Sox Don Drysdale and the seats at New Comiskey being royal blue.

Pippen and Jordan were pissed about Krause finding Kukoc, who was a vital piece of the team. Krause was able to find a ton of pieces to create a team that was capable of competing for a title even without Jordan. I mean they won 55 games with Pete Myers at shooting guard. If they Hue Hollins call doesn't happen they are back in the Finals that year.

Krause didn't have it in him to stay in the background. And he looked like a troll so it was easy to paint him as a villian.

Not necessarily about there being more misses than hits. There was really only ever 1 "hit". Pippen. He had a number of high draft picks back then. He was on the job for 18 years and only ever had 1 draft pick that he could hang his hat on and that was through trade. Grant was solid and so was Oakley but he passed on Malone for Oakley. Drafted Brad Sellers. Stacey King was a lottery pick. Will Perdue was a Number 11 pick. He drafted a number of guys with high draft picks that struggled to get off the bench.

There were a ton of bombs in there. Don't blame him for the late first rounders. Usually don't get much there. Inexcusable to have that many misses when you are drafting as high as he was though.

The Kukoc issue is detailed extensively in Sam Smith's Jordan Rules book. They hated on him because Krause loved him in addition to other things. I forgot all the details but it was a good section.

I agree that the Hollins call screwed the Bulls, but that series took place in the second round, not the third.

Yeah definitely the way it was portrayed at the time too. Jordan didn't much care for Cartwright because of that. I remember there being story about Cartwright threatening to break Jordan's leg in the locker room over something after one of their games. Forget the specific incident but he told Jordan directly that he would do it.

Pippen hated Kukoc primarily because Krause initially promoted Kukoc as the eventual replacement for Pippen.

This beef is also in the Jordan Rules by Smith. Jordan was mocking him and Cartwright wasn't gonna accept it.

They also traded Oakley because of Ho Grant. They believed that Grant would be the better player/better fit going forward and they were correct. Oakley was also correct about James Edwards. He was a free agent and a guy they could have had for cheap. At that point he was better than Cartwright offensively. They allowed Detroit to swoop him up for nothing virtually. Then signed him years later when was mostly washed up.

Krause literally just got rid of all the cocaine addicts and he's going to bring in Edwards? Stop yourself.

I didn't know about the drug stuff but ironically Krause signed him years later.

Wasn't Cartwright's value to the Bulls eventually as more of a defensive player? He seemed to give Ewing fits in the playoffs, I don't recall Edwards being known for his defense.

By that time he was nothing but a hacking big but earlier in his career he was much more offensively minded. Oakley's point was that you wouldn't have trade anyone for Edwards. And he was cheaper. At the time the perception was that the Knicks got the better end of that deal. That's why they swapped picks.

I liked hearing Jordan be real. Him swearing on camera. Letting his guard down a little bit.

I knew Krause would be kicked in the balls. And he was. I've said this for years. Krause is more important that Phil Jackson for the 6 titles. Not that Jackson was nothing. I just think Krause was more valuable.

that's a load of shit. Aside from the Pippen trade, drafting Horace and being able to sign pretty good bench players, what exactly did Krause do that was so important? He was a complete fraud and his track record after MJ more than proves that.
