well I guess the postponement gives more time for Marquee to figure shit out and get on Comcast cable.

I wonder what their programming is like now.

so tonight they were showing a program about Kid K's 20 K game.

So predictable. I knew they would eventually do somethin' like that.

If this virus never happened, would a deal with Comcast have been done by now? Are they still talking?

That's a great question....I doubt they're talking now. I would imagine they'd resume once we see a realistic start date.
Had the season not been suspended, I was thinking they were NOT going to get a deal done. Now? different story. Neither of them wants to be bearer of bad PR, so I do think they'll settle prior to Game 1 of regular season.

You mean “during these challenging times” or “during these unprecedented times”, or maybe “during these terrifying, dangerous times”. You need to ramp up the hyperbole a little.

Most of Sinclair's regular network affiliate stations have deals that run out in August. Sinclair may as well wait until then and try and bundle it all together, and Comcast isn't going to do shit until players are back in spring training.

I think we'll find out one day down the road that the Rickettses were really banking on McDonough bringing the Blackhawks over for this venture, which, as we all know, he ultimately didn't. Even the YES Network was launched with the intention of being the Yankees, Nets, and Devils (though they never were able to pull the Devils over from Fox/MSG for whatever reason). A one-team channel is a hard sell, especially one that's not the New York Yankees.

Yeah forming a one team channel after cord cutting had started in mass. Who could have saw this going wrong?

Blackhawks are meaningless. It's a tiny audience.

Wrong, they've had solid local ratings for years, and live NHL games are always going to draw a larger audience than episodes of Ryan Dempster Makes Funny Voices, Walter Payton's Daughter Visits A Wrigleyville Restaurant We Own, or the millionth rerun of the goddamn motherfucking Kerry Wood game.
