She is following the guidance of the Trump administration and everyone is beating her up. It's sad. Same with Pritzker.

People are beating her and Tubby up because they are acting like stupid dictators who are more interested in their own power than they are their state.

You're beating them up because they are Democrats and you were told to. Both are literally following the guidance of the Trump administration. It's not even April 30th yet. Even after then there are multiple phases left.

Michigan isn't that far behind New Jersey and no one is attacking their governor. Illinois still hasn't peaked, but it's rising at a very slow rate. According to the Trump administration's guidance, NEITHER should open up. Maybe you should read it.

I have said on a few occasions I thought Cuomo and Newsom have done a good job in dealing with this stuff. This is not a Democrat and Republican issue. There are several democrats around here that have issues with both Michigan and Tubby.

The Trump Administration never told Michigan to force people to stop buying seeds or to stop driving to their own property.

Not gonna lie ... it doesn't keep me up at night that it's theoretically possible (albeit only very slightly poossible) that, more than any other demographic, the self-centered, proudly, stridently, willfully ignorant, and the irretrievably stupid just might get their comeuppance in numbers to beat the band before it's all said and done.

Needling folks for being hypocrites will never get old. I have very little to do besides that. I'm being nice about it.

Cuomo has worse restrictions in New York than Michigan has, but people are dying there at a high rate. Gavin Newsom has the same restrictions as New York even though significantly fewer people have died there than have died in Michigan. I believe Illinois has more deaths than California. You praise Newsom because the president has. You criticize the others also because the president has.

If you get the opportunity you should peak at the restrictions in other states around the country.

It is pretty impressive that you know more about why I say things than I know about myself. I will try to keep that and mind and PM you to ask what I should say in a certain situation. I was getting ready to respond in the NFL draft thread, can you help me out?

So if what you say is true then why are there democrats who have been just as upset about the things going on in IL and in Michigan? Are they just following Trumps lead as well?

Outside of this board, and according to every poll, the majority of Americans aren't bothered by the shutdowns. I have no idea why.

The states the president has targeted and the states with the "organic" protests are all states that he believes that he can win. One also happens to have a governor that Biden is considering as a running mate.

Most democrat and republican led states have similar restrictions. I don't understand how Michigan has so many deaths. Who goes there?

I am reading on the state of New yorks website on their stay at home order. I see nothing like what Michigan has in regard to not being able to buy seeds or paint or be able to travel to peoples own property. Can you show me where they have the same type of orders?

Here are all states:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washin ... utType=amp

Here is a story from an extremely conservative state that you never heard of. This state only has 44 deaths.

An Idaho mom could face jail time for holding a yard sale during the state’s strict lockdown order, cops said.

Christa Thompson was first warned on April 9 that her garage sale was breaking the law — but still had it running more than a week later, despite repeated warnings, the Rathdrum Police Department said.

Cops finally issued Thompson a citation for breaking the lockdown measures last Friday after making their fourth trip out to warn her following repeated complaints from neighbors, police said.

“A garage sale/yard sale is not an essential business and should not be open for business,” police said in a statement, noting it “filled the entire front yard and spilled into the back yard as well.”

Violating the stay-at-home order in Idaho is a misdemeanor that is punishable by up to six months in jail or a $1,000 fine, or both, according to the Idaho Statesman.

New York doesn't have a "no seeds or vacation" provision in their order, but they have expensive fines that they're encouraging local governments to enforce. I can understand their restrictions considering their number of deaths.

I think the April 9th add ons in Michigan are stupid, but considering that they are somehow 3rd in the nation, I'm not too bothered by them. At least there are no poor people fines.

Idaho has 44 deaths but a woman may go to prison and pay a fine for having a garage sale. In my world that is worse than not being able to travel to my 5th house or buy paint out of a big box store. Why isn't the president complaining about that? It's one of the reddest states in our union.

Garage sales are a ridiculous amount of work for the payoff during regular times.

This lady thought going through all of that during a quarantine when her customer base was gonna be reduced by 90% was a good idea.
Let's take a minute and marinate.

I agree they are stupid. I am glad we agree on how stupid the Governor of Michigan is being in this deal. That was my point.

I also agree that the situation in Idaho is really stupid as well. I am guessing you can find a story just like that in every state in the union. It is sad what this deal has done to places everywhere.

most municipalities require a permit so that they are only 1-2 days. This one went on for over a week. That isn't a yard sale, its a regular commercial enterprise. They should have shut her down for any number of reasons.

Stop.

People are beating her and Tubby up because they are acting like stupid dictators who are more interested in their own power than they are their state.

The worst thing about her is that she is STUPID. Like that partial shutdown of outlet stores. Sectioning off certain items just because SHE THINKS that they aren't important for people to buy like garden SEEDs and lawn stuff. Who made her the Queen of Michigan?

Whitmer

Ok, so I am sure I'll take some flack on this from some of the wackos on this board, but Whitmer is juicy, man. If she just looked a little less like what's his name, the decathlon guy, that'd be great . . . but she's pleasantly juicy.

I'm with you on this. She looks like the Florida Secretary of State who threw the election to Bush years ago

Kathleen Harris? I suppose I could google it.

Online.

Stores are not allowed to sell these or clothes or toys because they are not deemed essential.

This might be the most frightening post of the entire Covid era of this board. The fact that we are discussing whether or not a governor will "allow" citizens of a state to grow their own food.
