Mitchell (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky will make more nfl starts for the team that drafted him than Jordan love

Dan Patrick just said the Colts were trading up to get Jordan Love, and the Packers felt like they had to move.

love the really tough Packer media now justifying the pick, because they would have had to take the #7 WR on the board had they gone at that position

ok, you got the #4 QB on the board in a weak QB class

I really don't understand the Love pick. Have the Pack given up on the idea of winning a Super Bowl with Rodgers at QB? Or are they simply trying to neutralize his power within the organization so that he is more receptive to coaching and game plans?

It follows a long line of the way they think, it is the reason Rodgers is here. I have no comment on Love, I have never seen him play 1 game, just a couple of highlights.

36 year old QB
Injury prone
High maintenance diva

Best to begin planning for the future rather than end up in QB hell like Browns, Bears, Bills, etc.

Absolutely tremendous pick.

The Bears are in QB hell because they traded up in the draft for the wrong QB. It's possible that the Packers have replicated the error here. Keep in mind that I have no idea if Love is good or not. Gonna have to go back and watch some film on him. In general, I think it's better to draft a QB too early rather than too late. But this move clearly puts an endpoint on Rodgers' Pack career.

He has a big arm. He makes bad decisions and isn't particularly mobile. He regressed as the lights got brighter against lower grade competition.

He is more Favre than Rodgers but an underrated part of Farve's game was his mobility (and willingness to take a hit when he ran). I don't see that with Love.

Team's love huge arms. Herbert and Love were 1-2 in that department. They are both incredibly impressive with that trait.

Love ran a 4.74. I'm not worried about his mobility. He doesn't seem very good though.

How did that translate on the field?

Elusive in pocket: sacks increased last year (was that due to line?)

Running: bad YPC

Also, Eason probably has the biggest arm in the class but is kinda shitty for other reasons.

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance

Looks like Hawg zoomed past the stages pretty quickly and is now in acceptance mode for a horrible pick

I have not watched any full games, but I have watched a lot of highlight of all the QBs. I was afraid Pace would try to jump into the first round and take one. So I watched a lot of film and read a lot on the QBs. There has been a lot of down time so what else is there to do?

Realistically no one knows how he will turn out. But I don't think he was worthy of them jumping up to get and giving away other draft picks. They could have got someone in the middle rounds that would be just as good if not better.

He makes a ton of bad decisions. He has the arm strength. But I don't think he is there mentally to be worthy of a 1st round pick.

Burrow and Tua are the studs of this draft. After that it is a lot of meh.

But with the Packers luck he will probably end up being a franchise guy and be a stud for the next 15 years

The only reason the Packers did this is because it worked for them fifteen years ago. They think they've got everyone else outsmarted.
