Isiah Thomas was jus on Get Up, and took the high road for the most part.

He did say he is still hurt about being left off the Dream Team.

Isaiah made his own bed in a lot of ways. I remember he had to have this big tv show thing on ESPN to be able to get Magic to forgive him and be his brother again.

This has been very enjoyable to watch. Had no idea Pippen had such bad family issues.

Even without anything extra as an issue simply being one of twelve had to be rough.

Him and Magic kissing before the Finals that year was moving as fuck, though. Best thing I have ever seen in sports.

Isaiah has that Tebow or Republican Congressman thing about him--like he's hiding something.

I was surprised they didn't mention the All-Star Game freeze out.

Just watched the first episode. This is the second thing I have ever watched on Netflix. So far, this is pretty damn absorbing.

Then my Netflix viewing is back down to one episode of one show. I just assumed I was signed in.

Oh, Jesus. I thought...something else. I thought this was on Netflix, so I watched it on my laptop.

This is appointment television. If anyone thinks Kobe and LeBron are better than Jordan need to watch this documentary.

Skinny Jordan was a freak of nature. It's amazing to see some of his early great games. He had that pogo stick bounce.

That Jordan was Jordan at his best. He had the quickest first step that I have ever seen.

The Pistons were absolute Caller Bobs and almost to a person have proven themselves to be despicable people later in life.

Rodman was a great player. He is an absolute fraud of a human being. He loved to play the "you don't know me" as he cried on camera. Meanwhile, the people that do know him the best think he is an absolute shit. A good definition of who he is is the tattoo of his daughter as he was non existent in her life physically and financially.

I was a huge Isiah guy. I had posters of him and Dr. J on my wall. That guy is all just a smile and nice teeth. Another fraud. He is probably the most sociopathic of them all.

At least Laimbeer comes right at you as an asshole. That guy had no muscle. How did he not get his teeth knocked in.

You know who else can eat a big bag of dicks? John Salley. Another noodle armed, no talent punk with a high opinion of himself. He road coattails of better players all the way back to his college days.

I'm happy Michael still hates them. It only highlights that they are not good people. I'm cool with Joe Dumars.

I found this in a Reddit thread:

"Isiah killed his own chances when it came to the Olympics," Magic Johnson said in the book, per the AP. "Nobody on that team wanted to play with him. ... I'm sad for Isiah. He has alienated so many people in his life, and he still doesn't get it. He doesn't understand why he wasn't chosen for that Olympic team and that's really too bad. You should be aware when you've ticked off more than half of the NBA."

Yeah I had always heard that he wanted Phil.

I always heard differently. I heard Phil stabbed him in the back (which Collins implied is true) and Collins had some major indiscretions while also showing signs of mental illness.

He became "weird" when it was profitable for him to be weird. Madonna should have gotten a management fee.

At my core I still believe this, but I've learned to suppress it over the past 38 years. It's not important enough to make me stop watching.

I think sports is less fun when opponents don't hate each other. The NBA is the worst at this right now.

The hate can be there with sportsmanship. It's why I like the dignified sport of hockey. :P

I feel like it's a times are changing thing. The athletes have been treated differently their whole lives. They are already winners so championships don't really matter. Look what's happen to football they aren't as tough and they aren't as good and it shows. And basketball is worse, it can essentially be fixed.

Iirc that was the commonly accepted wisdom of the time.

Perhaps. But the problem with Detroit was that they didn't respect anyone. The weird chip on their collective shoulder couldn't allow it and made them arrogant asswipes, almost to every man.
