Very light drizzle here in the SW burbs. System appears to be starting to move out. Some of the standing water receded quite a bit overnight. I think we got about 2" to 2.5" of rain total.

Tomorrow afternoon and Saturday, while cloudy at times, should be dry and very nice temperature wise.

Just a little drizzle on my ride this morning. But when I got out on the Northwestern lakefill the waves were so furious they were coming up onto the path along with sand and rocks. When I got to the Sailboating Center the path was so deep in sand I had to portage my bike.

They got quite a bit of rain in Black Hole Sun but it washed away pretty quickly.

How does a root beer calculate rainfall amounts?

Well, it was empty when left. It was almost full when I picked it up. I measured the depth of water with a ruler. There is a slight barrel to the shape of the cup, the water measured about 3-3/4" deep...I guesstimated a little more to make up for the barrel shape.

Moscow Mule mug.

Crazy storm just came thru here. 3 semis tipped over on the high way, power lines and trees down everywhere. So far all I can tell is I had a few shingles blown off and our trampoline is in pretty bad shape in the neighbors yard.

Yep it was staked down. It tipped over semis and blew down trees, a few stakes don't really matter

 Shit ... was gonna say something much less amusing like "hey, the new jungle gym arrived".

Is 'jungle' gym offensive? I mean, everything is these days ... just not sure if it made the official list.

I knew teachers wouldn't want to go back, but didn't think they would stoop to these levels. Spanky and LTG are bad people.

Nah, not bad people ... they just misheard the phrase as "raze the roof".
