I think there's a big difference between arbitrarily poking fun at the way someone looks and mocking the most powerful man in the state who is purposely keeping people out of work while his wife and daughter are show jumping in Florida and he obviously has never missed a meal. People wont abide into June. Parks will be full and businesses will be open. There would be MANY more lawsuits if this happens, and not just from some rube politician. You would probably see cities and entire counties filing suit if this ends up being the case.

As it is, we're over 45 days of lockdown with no firm answer on when he plans to re-open things, and no true data has to how this has all helped. We get a death count and a graph every day and thats it.

Yeah, you know I'm not big on making fun of the way people look, although I'm sure I have done it. But there's a long tradition of ridiculing the powerful by caricaturing their physical attributes. As vile as I find her to be, I wouldn't mock Julie DiCaro's looks (personally, I find her somewhat attractive anyway). If she annoys me I can ignore her. I can't really ignore JB Pritzker right now. If JB is really concerned about that, then just ban statewide public gatherings for fireworks this year. If a town or whatever still wants to have their show, have people sit in a parking lot or on the streets and not gather at a park or whatever. Seems simple enough to me.

Agreed. If they decide to follow it exactly, it could be months before we get even 5 straight days of a reductions just because the ramped up testing will keep finding more and more people. It should be tied to hospitalizations. At the least, should be % of tested that are positive. If they test 10,000 one day and 2,000 are positive and 12,000 the next day and 2,005 are positive, that should be seen as good, not bad.

They are constantly fudging the numbers.

We haven't gone above the high of April 24th. I would argue that it's flat.
