I didn't see it, but nothing can take the place of Chuck Barris and that bad 70's set.
Jesus Christ, is there no creativity in Hollywood these days? Do they have to try to remake everything? And do a bad job at it? Stupid fucks.

Do you guys have any idea who got the "LOWEST SCORE" without getting 'gonged' on the old Gong Show?

It's somebody that's been on Chicago radio....

The original "Gong Show" was so bad, it was good. I have GSN on my DIRECTV, and I'm puzzled why "The Network for Games" at Channel 309 doesn't air the classic Chuck Barris game show from the mid '70s. Barris was a riot as both Executive Producer & as host who appeared to be absolutely wasted whenever he was on camera. I haven't had a chance to see the new one with host Dave Attell on Comedy Central, and I don't understand why they decided to revive it for a modern audience. I'm also puzzled why TBS is planning a modern version of another '70s classic "Match Game". It seems hard to believe, but the one that aired on CBS with the late Gene Rayburn, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Richard Dawson & the late Johnny Olsen as announcer is still the highest rated game show on GSN. Interestingly enough, while "Match Game" debuted in 1962 on NBC, the one that aired from 1973-82 is still quite the ratings draw on GSN whenever it's on the schedule.

Check out this new one... it's PURE garbage. I'm surprised that Adam Sandler is executive producing it. Andy Dick and Dave Navarro as 'celebrity judges'. Bad bad bad.

Has anyone seen Andy Dick's mugshot from his latest arrest? Would you buy a used car from that man? Talk about creepy...

It was on the back page of yesterday's Red Eye, which had a photo of Heath Ledger (moment of silence please.... Thank you) as the Joker on the cover. Oddly, the Dick picture (HA!) was the creepier of the two.

Yeah, I saw that myself, let alone on the news. As Butt-Head would say, "What a dork!" "Yeah! Heh-Heh!!!" Beavis would snicker, in regards to Andy Dick's mugshot.

While back in his college years, sportsradio talking head, and college football pundit STEVE SILVERMAN dressed up like a cowboy (with lights on I believe) and sang RHINESTONE COWBOY to get the lowest score in the history of the Gong Show.

You must be talking about the same Steve Silverman who used to be on "The SCORE" and briefly relocated to ESPN Radio before doing some work writing football for MSNBC.com.

I most certainly am.

He was a fill-in host on the Score and does some fill-in stuff on ESPN1000 around draft time.

Great guy....

I think he was working fairly regularly in Detroit sportsradio (where college football rules the roost), while doing free-lance writing.
