Really? They needed to announce this? I guess I don't remember hearing anything official about it before, but did anyone honestly have any doubt?

A "BIG Programming Announcement"? "Mully & Hanley" HAVE BEEN hosting mornings on "The SCORE" for a few weeks now, and this announcement isn't necessarily new. Then again, SportsRadio 670 kept referring to "Ed Farmer & Steve Stone as the NEW White Sox Radio Broadcast Team" in station promos for some 6 weeks after the season started.

That's different: they keep hoping Stoney's presence will bring a ratings boost. To which I say: the listeners are there to listen to the Sox. If Stoney's bad, they'll go away. But they won't come because Stoney's good.

There's a joke in there, somewhere, but I'm hardly the one to be able to find it...or to put forth the effort to do so, for that matter...

With hotdog boy playing "radio" from his basement and taking any and all opportunities to be heard over an airwave, it was the appropriate thing to do. If "two with the works" wants to paint a picture of walking away from the negotiating table, that's fine. But now he knows they won't let him sit back down.
