Is that Gary Payton or Kevin Hart?

MJ's reaction to Payton is classic

That is a hell of a question Craig sager, was he loaded at the time to ask a gm a question phrased like that?

Other than those that choose to be obtuse and ignore reality, this really should shut down any idea that LBJ is better than MJeff. Maybe they're 1 & 2, but the ranking is clear ... it always was clear, now it's in sharp focus.

Yeah that last season they were on fumes. Jordan really had to carry them much more than is probably remembered.

Wasn't he kind of Jordan's guy? He probably did it just to piss off Krause. Even so, Krause deserved it.

I remember the only guy who complained about going 72-10 at that time was Les Grobstein. He wanted them to win at least 73 so they could have single digits in the loss column.

So Jordan had a problem closing out Seattle in 1996 because of his father?

The cheerleaders run by to go do their thing. No one turns a head but Browne, who metoos the last one. It’s nothing but it probably tells you a lot

As a bridge to the discussion about the players Krause assembled around Jordan: that locker room was packed with absolute star level talent in college. I understand Michael thought he had to nudge these guys so they knew pressure but people like Kerr and Burrell made huge plays under the brightest of lights. They might have approached the game differently but it’s false to have considered them untested. Even a ham and egger like wennington was an excellent player when both the big east and St. John’s were at their height.

The Kerr stuff is particularly outrageous as that guy had faced about as much adversity as you could throw at a young guy and always handled it well. Mike should have felt kinship with him for obvious reasons

Craig always was little off. He embraced it later on with the snazzy suits.

He marched to his own beat, and was like Jim Gray in that he pissed a lot of people off with his probing and in-your-face tone and questions.

Being good or tested in college is different from the NBA. Jordan's approach only works when you are winning though.

Nope. Michael had a bad game 2, 4, and 6. Payton was part of that. Michael can laugh all he wants.

Neither of them were tested as NBA players. Kerr was barely in his previous team's rotation and Burrell played on shitty teams that never made the playoffs.

Kerr’s college jump shots sure look the same as his pro

Both of those guys had major leg injuries that prevented them from being the kind of pros they could have been.

Late round ncaa tournament games are every bit as mentally pressure packed as an nba playoff game, maybe even more so because of the finality. Physically it’s a step up

For the non-clued-in, I will clarify that you are referring to the fact that Kerr's father was murdered as well (in Beirut, I believe).

Jordan’s right index finger is screwed up and looks different than the clips pre-98.

That cigar injury must have been pretty severe.
