As a bridge to the discussion about the players Krause assembled around Jordan: that locker room was packed with absolute star level talent in college. I understand Michael thought he had to nudge these guys so they knew pressure but people like Kerr and Burrell made huge plays under the brightest of lights. They might have approached the game differently but it’s false to have considered them untested. Even a ham and egger like wennington was an excellent player when both the big east and St. John’s were at their height.

The Kerr stuff is particularly outrageous as that guy had faced about as much adversity as you could throw at a young guy and always handled it well. Mike should have felt kinship with him for obvious reasons
