Yeah no biggie. Just giving you crap over the big five comment. The big five went away when AA bit the dust in the wake of the Enron scandal.

I think they can still be called "the Big Five" even though Arthur is gone. It's sort of like the Big Ten having 14 teams.

Well, I'll call bullshit then.

As Deni$ pointed out, it hasn't been a Big 5 in years.

This, and the fact that IDOR doesn't send a first letter that is "threatening" to anyone other than a guy like Panther.

I received a letter last fall from a return filed five years prior.

Nothing threatening in the least, and they cut all penalties and fees for a quick payment resolution too.

 Well, obviously there are only four left. But it's not like "Big Five" or "Big Four" is an official designation.

I've actually been to the Accounting Hall of Fame at The Ohio State University, though I think it's moved since. It's one of those halls of fame that exists more as concept than museum.

It's been Big 4 for nearly 20 years now.

Has it been that long since Enron? It doesn't seem like it. Time flies.

Jerry: Oh no! The letter, Newman, it's got exclamation points all over it!

Kramer: Not to mention the picture of him on the toilet.

Yup, Arthur Anderson dissolved in 2002.

I never said that it was the first solicitation they sent me for the bullshit amount, just that they decided to start to be rude about it. It is literally a waste of paper and postage every time they contact me about it.

Lastly, can someone finally explain to me what makes me like a guy like "Panther"?

Finally letter below.

They didn't use the proper salutation, so, I guess that is pretty rude.

November 14, 2019. To pay please use
· the voucher on the enclosed Taxpayer Statement or
· your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. The credit card service provider will assess a convenience

I don't know about you, but that looks like a threat to me:

To avoid cost of collection fees, additional penalties and interest

In my letter, though, they were threatening to withhold the shitpuke amount from my federal "tax refund" for next year.

Yeah, 02 or 03, I think...I remember working at Hewitt Associates doing DC and DB plans...Anderson was one of our clients, and we had a glitch the day the news broke that all of our client web page logos got replaced with the one for Anderson. The shit hit the fan for a solid hour before they took the system down to fix it.

I think it more than qualifies under the raw semantics of the adjective, so I'm good with it.
