When did Eric Zorn turn into such a pussy?

Quote:
If the mask rebels prevail Wednesday morning in Springfield, the ultimate losers are likely to be the very people they claim to be fighting for.

News reports have suggested that three Republican members of the Illinois House of Representatives are thinking of defying a special pandemic-related rule that everyone in attendance wear a medical mask or other facial covering when the lower chamber convenes in the spacious Bank of Springfield Center for a three-day session.

Oh my God! Three guys won't want to wear a mask in a room where they'll be meters away from anyone else!
And that puts people in their districts hundreds of miles away in danger!

Its not about freedom. Its about health. Of people a hundred miles away.

Shakes is preparing to get ready to retire in a year from all of the lawsuits and insurance claims.

A growing issue will be people going across state lines to visit crowded bars and restaurants that aren't open at home. Case in point, my mother (in the at-risk demographic) still goes into the office as she cannot work from home. A younger coworker went to Wisconsin over the weekend to go to bars, no mask, around many other people. Now the coworker is back at work with my mom.

You're not going to be able to stop that without further pissing on the constitution. Oregon also had its orders thrown out by a judge. JB standing on his pulpit and yelling at people is only going to drive more people into neighboring states to dine out, have a drink, or get their hair cut and nails done.

If your mother is at risk, she shouldn't be leaving the house. Period.

That's up to his mother. But you're point is taken. It's not up to her co-worker to take responsibility for the old lady at work.

True. The growing issue actually is going to be people who are at risk but have an essential job that cannot be done remotely.

GoldenJet says they can find another job. Problem solved.

It's not about health, it's about half price apps and free refills during happy hour!

Is that really funny? Yeah, it's just about a desire to eat at Applebee's. How could anyone think something so dumb?

The same dopes who have been posting STAY THE FUCK HOME for two months are now posting photos of their favorite businesses that are permanently closed with the caption SO SAD. As if there was no connection.

I agree that this is really sad for a lot of business owners, though many probably were going to go out regardless even with no restrictions.

I do think it's a little funny that a lot of the complaining about the restrictions are that you couldn't walk into a restaurant and sit down and instead you had to do carryout. I also gave bmac credit for not calling anyone a name.

Listen Jack, people just want to be able to go to the bar and watch Ryan and Kelly together.

Better to starve at home than die of COVID at work? Question mark.

You can't walk into MANY churches in IL, but you can stream the service online. It's basically the same thing. Just a minor inconvenience.

Takeout pretty much sucks. Unless you live 5 minutes from the restaurant you have to heat it up again when you get home.

It's the newest condescension and deflection. "This isn't about trampling peoples' liberty and freedom, it's about selfish pricks who want 2 for 1s at happy hour."

why hasn't someone come up with an effective way to keep fries hot & crispy for longer than 5 minutes ?

I love my place Chuck's but i stopped getting them after awhile bc they just dump them in the plastic clamshell container like a lot of others so after 30 seconds they steam and become mush.

Not if the restaurant knows what they are doing.
