Go fuck yourselves.

I do not need to read all your return emails saying, "Ok thanks." "ok will do"

We have a couple of threads on this, don't we? I remember Leash giving the play by play of one of these that got upward of 1000 replies pretty quickly

Fortunately with WFH the past few weeks, these email threads have been almost non-exisitent.

I'm the guy who occasionally forgets to hit "reply all".

most of the time replies aren't even needed or wanted, but if there is a reply needed just reply to the original person.

my SPED director has been emailing out stuff each morning, and then I get to deal with all the freaking replies all day of "ok" "Thanks for the info"

Just shut the fuck up and do your job.

These people are the worst. It's one thing if you have something to add to the conversation, but the "ok, thanks" people are just awful. Since we can't sign up in the clubhouse, the "commissioner" of the group of guys I golf with always sends emails about tee times and asks who playing. One guy who is retired, a widower, and who has nothing else to do always replies all with "in". Of course you are, you have nothing else to do.

Thankfully we have a function in our e-mail to remove ourselves from the chain, as soon as I see one, I immediately use said function.

how about the people that respond to the ENTIRE group to tell the sender to remove THEM from the email group.

So my department has group names (e.g. Accounting@bulls.com, etc.) so often times my team will get copied on an email that actually goes to another team with similar spelling but one letter off (let's say billing@bulls.com and balling@bulls.com). Then the world forms into two types of people for me:

1a) Smart people
Those who simply forward the mail to the right group OR reply all (not copying in the right team) and say "wrong team." Preferred options.

1b) Those who self-sacrifice replying all, BCC'ing the wrong group to make them aware that you're correcting things, and loop in the right group with a FYI. The author may get copied on subsequent emails from dumbasses (see below on dumbasses) but at least the larger wrong group is spared from subsequent reply alls because they're BCC'ed.

2) Dumbasses
These guys simply copy in the right group unthinkingly so now balling@bulls.com is included in copy on emails that have been re-routed to billing@bulls.com. Idiots

 yeah that is something too.

Got a story about that. About a year ago I got an email from another tennis coach in the area giving all these details about a project they had coming up and giving out assignments for who needed to do what and so forth. I emailed the dude back and was like I don't think I should have got this email you probably hit the wrong name or something. He emailed me back almost right away all pissed and was like I would appreciate you just getting to work on the assignment I gave you and I don't wantto hear any complaints about it. So I emailed him again and tried to explain that I did not work for him that I was in a different school district. He then called me and was all apologetic some dude in his building has the same name as me and he was always being a pain the ass to work with and the guy thought he was just trying to get out of work. He didn't realize he put my email down for this instead of that dudes. We shared a good laugh about it

This too was covered in that last thread.

I'm just glad gmail is setup to place all the replies in the same thread instead of opening up to 15 different emails.

My favorite is the person that replys all when they were blind copied. It is almost like they don’t understand how email works.

We got 3 people this year who reply all to almost every single email sent out by admin to all staff with the response, "ok". Someone needs to say something to them.
