High Noon would have been better had they let Lee Van Cleef talk! Waste of a bad guy. Great movie, though.[/quote]

High Noon - my favorite Western. Even though it was a very old Gary Cooper he pulled it off and made it believable.

Man Who Shot Liberty Valance was another one I really liked.

I remember the days before internet when they use to have Westerns' on late night tv and that's all you had. Sort of was forced to watch them because that's was the only option going working graveyard shift back in the day.

Glad I went thru that. I dont think kids today know what a Western is. Most of them won't even watch anything if it's in B/W.

Heavy influences on the old CFR podcasts.

More influenced by Personal Arrogants. RIP.

So encore is doing Fistfull of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More and I’m struck that one of the reasons he didn’t have a bigger role in High Noon was they thought his nose needed work. Maybe it’s because he got some iconic roles later but damn.. he good.

Yeah, he was great. The eyes, the smile, the voice. Even when he is a good guy, he's still a bad dude.

Not to be a jerk--and don't get me wrong, I enjoyed those podcasts--but I think there was a bit of Milli Vanilli involved in them.

I will say nothing else on the subject.

"Nas" was telling the story of the board transition. In both voice and inflection, Nas sounded a lot like Irv Kupcinet, who always had the gossip. And it sounded to me like--well, like it was a cover story. Pure Black Ops, as the guy in JFK said.

I can't believe this board doesn't have its/it's own gossip or Seen on the Town section:

Nas was seen perusing the meat at Moo & Oink, and I don't mean chicken legs--or women!

Happy birthday to Hawaii You, ageless.

Come on, man! Don't leave me hanging.

I love conspiracy theories. Never heard one about myself.

In Kindergarten, I won the 50-yard dash. I never thought of myself as very fast but still won it going away. A few years later, fellow students said I jumped the gun. I disagreed. I remember it clearly. I just had a moment.

But, I chose not to run again.

That wasn't even Nas.

Think about that and why the real Nas has never spoken up.

Wait a second . . . this might be another instance of me thinking I know what's going on, only to find out I was way off.

Chus sounded like WZ x JLN.

I think they sort of sound alike, though Chus sounded like he was sitting back in a lazy boy, occasionally checking out the stuff on the walls, while the other two sounded like they were leaning into the microphone and making good eye contact with you.

Since you asked. I don't like to talk too much about it since I quit on it and feel bad. But it was really fun and I'd like to do it again.

Chus and I knew each other. Those were just like sitting around and shooting the shit.

W_Z and I had very similar interests. We could talk about stuff that we both knew about for hours but probably got more niche and nerdy for general public.

JLN is the only person that ever did the podcast who I had never met. He sent me a link on some stuff he'd done before and it sounded amazing. Too amazing. Like, you're too good to do this. But he came and it was fun and I think it sounded great. I know JLN is controversial. He did some things after that I did not agree with. But, I appreciate that he did the podcast. It was a very good podcast. I don't have to agree with everything after that but I, personally, have no problem with him. People can have different views.

Yeah, I knew you, Chus, and WZ knew each other. Wait--actually, I don't think I knew at the time, but it was apparent from listening.

JLN has an excellent voice. I listened to a few of his own podcasts. I can't remember what he talked about, but I was struck by his strong, rich voice (sorry, not sure what the adjectives are for this kind of thing). His voice just kind of fills the speakers, and he's got a nice cadence going.

Did I not tell the story where I almost ran over a fuel tank in the Super M when I was 4 and ran it into a grain wagon?

Then I ran inside scared and my Mom and Aunt said it was OK and gave me Oreos.

I don’t think my Dad thought it was OK.

Probably when he got the spark to not encourage me to be a farmer.

Folks, I'd drive up for this, as long as you pay for the tickets I get once I reach the Land of Obama! I might could bring my Eula with me, though she promised to stump for Coach Tuberville in the next few weeks. Keep me informed, God bless.
