We like the Hobnob a lot. I would request the bar area for seating. They open at 5pm, but the bar opens at 4:30. I would get there right a 4:30 if you want to grab a drink first. The place fills up pretty quickly. Steaks are decent. Drinks are tasty.

Ishnala is certainly one of the most beautiful in terms of its location in the woods, views of Mirror Lake and historic building. I found the food to be good but not great considering the price. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been though.

Illinois State Police should be taking down license plates in Wisconsin bars and sitting at the border waiting to pinch drunk drivers, like they do with fireworks buyers around 4th of July

Also forgot to tell the board that when I went up there, I brought along my Menards 11% rebate form and dropped it in the mail. They are in Wisconsin so figured it'll get there quicker.

Been here over a week. It has cooled off. Three other places are opening this weekend. The majority of places are now open. This one great bar called, Garage Bar, is opening today at noon. I am heading over after lunch.

It won’t be a great boating weekend, probably mid to high 60’s. Maybe I’ll do some fishing. And wood burning.

Ever been to Two Lakes Supper Club off 39? I went once, packed. Older. Solid food. Snarky wait staff.
