Happens way, way, way more often than people acknowledge. Many "idiots" you see at rallies (for either side) are paid actors doing a bit. Its plausible but ultimately unlikely that thousands of Minneapolis police officers are in on this kind of psyop.

India, South Africa, USSR (the fall, obviously)...this is simply wrong, Nas. Plenty of examples.

The problem is the balcks aren't passive enough. Once they learn to accept their lot the world will be a much better place for them.

Not sure if this actually happened, but agent provocateur's have existed since the beginning of time to "kill" a lot of movements. IF they're in Minnesota, I would be shocked if they are white.

I distinctly recall the New Orleans police being the first to suggest looting the Riverfront mall many out of town visitors were huddling next to. Lots of clothes and dvds were being clutched by them. I think that the first spot we hit were a Brookstone for camping stuff, a few fast food spots for communal food, water and ice and then a pharmacy for meds and vitamins.

Not true that India, South Africa and the USSR had bloodless revolutions? Dunno what to tell you. It really wasn't UNTIL India and South Africa gave up on violence that they got what they wanted. Mandela was, in no uncertain terms, a terrorist...but hey through peace he somewhat brought that country together. Somehow America has a worse race problem than South Africa, how that happens I have no idea.

This is a riddle, a mystery wrapped in an enigma for me, too. Can't figure this one out.

Now this is what I want to see.

Fuck burning down private businesses that had nothing to do with this.

Torch the god damn police precincts responsible for this!

People of MSP, I salute you for this.

I think its because South Africa is, for intents and purposes, a unitary single-party state. It qualifies as a democracy in every metric one would use, but functionally its no different than a place like Singapore. Liberal, tolerant...but governing happens through the party. South Africa is way less authoritarian than Singapore, though.

The DA makes some inroads in Western Cape, but other than that there's no politicking. The vast majority of America's "race problem" doesn't exist, but it is a truly incredible political mobilization tool and nowhere in the world has more contested general elections than the USA. Maybe Australia.

Also South Africans, white and black, are very emotionally invested in making the rainbow nation thing work. They want to prove it can be done. They do an objectively better job than the USA, there's no hate in South Africa.

As an odd aside it turns out George Floyd was good friends with former NBA player Stephen Jackson.

He called him his twin and best friend. Said that he was the only person who never wanted anything from him and was just happy to see that he was successful.

Don't whites in SA have to live in constant fear of kidnapping as they enter their compounds from public roads, and don't white farmers still need to put steel gates in their homes separating the sleeping quarters from the rest of the house so that they won't get hacked to death via machete in their sleep?

People of MSP, I salute you for this.

But you are gonna hate the tax increase to pay for the new one. Or you would if you lived in Minnesota.

probably cheaper than paying out all of the lawsuits that result from police abuse.

So those people who are normally pro-police (or at least not anti-police) and who were angered at the cops when they saw the video--are they still angry with the cops or are they now angry with the protestors? Whether it makes sense or not, did they just turn off their indignation? I wonder what those people are thinking. Also, uprising, protest, or riot?

MANY are now more bothered by the rioting.

It's not protest.

And it does nothing but harm the community.

Me personally, it's all awful.
