I bet they find this cop was part of some secret Nazi group or admired Nazis' or the klan.

I don't have anything against cops but the whole culture of law enforcement in the last 20 years has gone to shit. It's like a lot of cops are roided up or on something that makes them more aggressive than they need to be when dealing with non-life threatening situations.

I don't think he's reflecting on his personal circumstances.

Which one?

Rewarding idiocy comment based on race

I wouldn't make that statement.

You don't think Trump is an idiot and was elected due in large part by white racists?

What distinguished him from the rest of the field was his willingness to go places racially that others were not.

He also received a great deal of support from white racism.

You can quibble about what constitutes "large support"
I'm not

Not looking to quibble.

And if you are are an idiot who couldn't be elected without a great deal of support from racists, then the reverse would apply to Trump.

I wouldn't find the reverse comment racist.

I'd say what distinguished Trump from the rest of the field was having the guts to attack the Bush family, the Iraq War, and the weak policies that led to jobs moving overseas. The middle of the country was fed up with weak ass candidates like Romney and McCain who weren't conservatives.

Police abuse is rare or police abusing their power enough to be charged with a crime is rare? I'm confident that the former happens many times daily in some way and the latter has happened quite a bit in the past 5 years.

Medical professionals kill Americans at about 400x the rate law enforcement does. People should be out there turning over 7-series and ambulances and storming proceedings of the new england journal of medicine

I don't think it's rare. They kill 1000+ people a year. We've seen enough cases recently to know that it isn't rare. What's rare is them getting convicted of crime. I believe this started to change with the conviction of the cop who murdered Justine Damond and claimed that he feared for his life. Still many more have been acquitted or have gotten slaps on the wrist even with video and body cameras.

The thing that irks me the most about Monday's murder is that without video they would've probably gotten the coroner to rule it a natural death and it wouldn't even count as a killing by cop.

Better chance of being hit by lightning than murdered by police

Roughly 10% of all murders in America. That's a significant number.

Not true. You're more than 20 times more likely to be killed by a police officer/law enforcement in the United States every year.

I don’t want to argue especially in this thread but how is this possible. A single American isn’t even 20 times likely to be pulled over by a cop.

Every year roughly 51 Americans are struck and killed by lightning. Every year on average roughly 1240 Americans are killed annually by police and law enforcement.

People shoot at cops all the time. The Breanna Taylor thing everyone is so incensed over wouldn't have happened had the guy not shot at the police. He actually hit an officer. He says he didn't know it was the cops but we all know that's bullshit that only people like Ogie believe. Police having to kill people to defend themselves or defend someone else in mortal danger is not uncommon at all, and is justifiable. Also that figure that gets cited usually cites people who die in car accidents caused by somebody fleeing, something police dont really do any more but still has times when its necessary.

If you are not breaking any laws, or in the company of people breaking laws, your odds of being killed by a cop are near zero. You are way more likely to be struck by lightning. I suppose its possible, but you'd need to be supremely unlucky. You may as well never get in a car again if you're that risk averse.

If you are breaking the law its still supremely unlikely unless you are being violent. You'd need to be really acting up to get killed by a cop.

This Minneapolis case is one case in years where its obvious the cop went over the line. In a country of three-hundred thirty million, at this scale of people with the incredible third-world crime rates the USA has its just a matter of time before the wheel gets spun enough that it lands of "accidentally killed by overbearing cop".

Nobody should be reasonably afraid of this happening to them. It would take extraordinarily bad luck. If you dont like reading about it on the news? I suggest you stop watching the news, or at least watch it with a more critical eye. But we are not going to abandon the American way of life because people get upset about news that doesn't affect them. If that means using the military to put this shit down, so be it.
