Nah. The average human is a good person. These rioters are pretty much professional anarchists paid by some very rich people who want to take the United States down. Dumb people usually cannot understand the difference between equality of opportunity and equality of result. Other people can understand it but still not care about the difference - if other people can have the newest flat screen then they should have one as well, even if they cannot afford or just choose not to pay for it.

The media, including social media, feeds off of these folks. There are more of them in every demographic than there are of you.

I liked just knowing in a general sense that some of my relatives were idiots, but Facebook makes it too specific.

I found a way to make Facebook tolerable and it was to just unfollow literally anyone who actively posts.
