Damn Central Camera gone. They had some neat stuff, was never too into the hobby but I made a point to go there because I just liked the aesthetic. They had some stuff from WAY back, it was as much a museum as a store. Sucks, hundreds of years of history burned up. You see the contempt they have for us though, they really see it is a zero sum game. There's no spirit of cooperation in this, no wanting to come together. Just rage and a tacit message that "we are coming for you and your heritage", of course this has been building forever.

Well fuck it, let em face with the 82nd Airborne. See how that goes. Its time this movement gets put down the hard way. If they dont want to see the immense progress made that's on them, time to unleash the military.

The police finally started pushing back tonight when things got violent; hopefully these anarchists will learn their lesson and the peaceful protests can resume.

The president is posting on Twitter like he's one of us. Some should get the word to him that he is president.

Why would he bother starting 3.5 years into the job?

He feels the best way to make his base happy is for the country to burn. Particularity since it is happening mostly in Democratic controlled cities.

Do you really think his critics will listen to him if he's going "Everyone calm down, everything will work out"?

He's talking about the riots and looting, not the peaceful protestors.

Did Obama prevent or calm stuff down in Ferguson or Baltimore? No, anarchists are going to do whatever the hell they want, authority be damned.

I'm not speaking for myself at all here. I'd really rather this de-escalates so people can back to some sort of normalcy after the last three shitty months in this trainwreck country, and I think the best way for that is for this to just stop. I believe the point has been made and has been noted:

We are nearing a point where the use of live rounds will become politically advantageous. Where just slaughtering these people in the streets will play better than letting the riots go on. Its an electoral college system. What Trump needs to do is win white voters in Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin (he wont win Pennsylvania again), and I will tell you right now white voters in those states have had enough of this. The only thing Trump really does well is read his base and do what plays best to them, right now you are on the verge of his base advocating for violence to be met with violence.

I wonder, if police responded by nearly beating a man wielding a machete to death what would you reaction be?

I think the appearance of the National Guard and enforcing curfews will calm things down.

LA Mayor requesting national guard. what a coincidence!?!? Same mayor who wants LA shut down until Sept. because of COVID and is drunk w/ power. He probably wanted the national guard all along during the lockdown but now he has his excuse.

Minneapolis and Atlanta were not as bad, NYC the same, LA is bringing in the NG overnight so the violence will be more contained.

You think with the history of rioting in LA, he would have had them deployed quicker

And your family values.
