Maxwell st. On 67th and Cicero was my favorite place in the early 2000s. Now I go to Rosie's on 103rd and Cicero if I'm bringing something home to eat.

On a side note, that style of “poorboy” is pretty much limited to the Joliet area only. I grew up with them and was surprised when I began my first real job in Franklin Park and found out that nobody knew what I was talking about. That’s also where I learned what a “frunch room” was.

Crusade in Yorkville makes a mighty fine burger.
Oscars Pub and Grill in Milwaukee is a fantastic burger joint if you’re headed to Miller Park.

You cannot discuss burgers anywhere in the Yorkville area without mentioning the Bristol Tap. Those burgers are still in my HoF.

T-bone mentioned some good ones in Kenosha.....The Garage, Captain Mikes. We also like Milwaukee Burger.

For lake county.....the Fogcutter wins.

Tracks in Cary is awesome, as well.
