Yeah... my renewal was put in end of September and it took till January to get back. Their back ground checks are taking forever too, past the allotted time on a shotgun I bought last year. It’s a train wreck.

Now I am one who believes that the nature of the FLID act is inherently unconstitutional. Then we will have an issue. Thats not just a poorly coded Illinois law, that would require a constitutional amendment. If they can change that one they can change other ones. I've always said that the 2nd amendment is the protector of all the other amendments.


There's a city/town out in the high desert called Yucaipa. Small horse ranches, apple orchards, mostly rural community. You drive past it on the 10 interstate if you go to Palm Springs. Monday Night they had armed guys with rifles on top of the town buildings with some signs telling people to STAY OUT OF YUCAIPA if you want to loot. Truckers, I hear were driving past these guys honking their horns and flashing their head lamps. Pretty cool shit. 8) 8) 8)

Yep. And owning gun is a huge responsibility from a safety situation. I've mulled having one over for a long time and mostly have argued myself against having one( with a lot of help from my wife!!). I really thought about it recently though, I've got to admit.
