I am pretty sure they don’t. I just read Obama stated it’s wrong to be doing this. Wrote about if you want America at a higher level you have to model it. Use political system.

That said, if anyone in middle America is like me they were sickened by that video. Sickened of hearing the man say he can’t breathe then die. Burning, looting and general chaos for days is not making that any different or help change the problem. The vast majority of people want life for all people to be good and fair. What is going on still takes away from the message. At least I think it does.

As more and more US cities announce curfews in an attempt to regain control of their citizenry, and following his reported rage-filled call with "weak" governors, NBC News reports that President Donald Trump is considering invoking a 213-year-old federal law that would allow him to deploy active-duty U.S. troops in an effort to control the riots spreading across the nation faster than COVID.

“You have to dominate,” Trump said Monday in a video conference with governors and law enforcement.

“If you don’t dominate, you’re wasting your time. They’re going to run over you, you’re going to look like a bunch of jerks.”

According to four persons familiar with the internal White House discussions, NBC News says Trump has warmed to the idea of using the Insurrection Act, adopted in 1807, which was last invoked during the 1992 Rodney King riots in Los Angeles.

If he does that is is going to be full on civil war with a capital C.

Trump doesn't the have the authority to ask active duty troops to do any on American soil.

When you see the very thin fabric that is society, you have to sew that shit up by all means necessary. I can think that way and still be totally disgusted with the culture of police. I mean, I'm disgusted with a lot of things, but first things first.

The house is infested with roaches and the furnace and water heater are garbage. Doesn't mean you knock down the bearing walls with a sledgehammer.

It does in the criminal case against the cop. The cause of death will be important. Or I should say how he died will be important.

It was already a contested cause of death with the 2 autopsies showing different things.

Does the stuff from the ME about hypertensive heart disease and coronary heart disease still stand? Because with narrowed arteries and out of control blood pressure, that diagnosis means he was also suffering some form of heart failure, and taking meth and fentanyl on top of all of that.

Don't worry there's another one today saying asphixaytion. We clearly need a few more weeks of this chaos to give Cyber-Biden (aka Biden Simone?) a chance to "win" this "election" which even has "people" on """alt-right""" message boards claiming this NEXT election is the most important one in 40 years.

Cuz look at everything going on around you and remember this: our society has decided to give **YOU** (and some fuckhead felons) the power to shape the course of this country for 40+ years by "electing" one person. Oh yeah you know the powers that be really bow to you with your power to "vote" for a made for TV figurehead there for your daily two mins hate (at least since 2016/17)

Do you guys contend that George would have died anyway were it not for the 600lbs of weight spread across his neck and body?

Depending on how advanced his serious conditions were, it could be that it didn't require acts with "depraved indifference" or "unreasonable risk" created by the officer(s) to put him into cardiac arrest, and at the very least it could be very tough to prove that it was the unreasonable acts of the cop that put him into arrest. Hell, with some kinds of heart failure, the heart can just go into arrest on its own, hence the need for ICDs and their vest-born counterparts.

I think its fairly obvious that Illinois and Chicago leadership are intent on making this spiral out of control as much as possible to put as much pressure as possible on the president. That's a pretty severe dereliction of their duty, and its really the second time they've done it in a short span.

Oh, please.

It's called Compression Asphyxia.

Just because what the cops did wouldn't have killed plenty of other people, it still was brutality and would have killed any number of people. We're not even bringing up the fact that his crime didn't fit the treatment.
