I have friends and family members in law enforcement, I think we can all understand how difficult their mostly thankless jobs are. The same is true for most public servants.

We're constantly reminded that every cop isn't bad. That's completely accurate. The overwhelming are good men and women. Someone needs to inform cops that every poor resident of the city or state they're serving aren't criminals and shouldn't be treated as one. Someone needs to remind them that the overwhelming majority of those residents are also good boys, girls, men and women.

Residents in crime infested communities are constantly told that should be courageous and turn in the criminals among them. When are the cops going to turn in the bad apples that wear blue? It's complete bullshit to say none or most of them aren't aware of the people who are corrupt.

Leaders should be the example for the people to follow. Not the other way around.

NASA with the way K Foxx is prosecuting right now I would not be talking to the police

Sounds like somebody should make a Discovery, and embark on a new Endeavor as a Challenger to K Foxx. They could build a new Enterprise.

This sentiment can be extended in many ways, i.e., Muslims aren't bad, the overwhelming are good men and women. Also, I would venture to say the vast majority of police interactions with poorer residents are positive. It's just the nature of media, and now social media, that highlights every negative experience for clicks and shock value. Not that they shouldn't be brought to light, of course...but you don't see the 99% of good experiences, so people have the bad drilled into their head.

As someone who witnessed police abusing their power just about every day as a kid, I would disagree. I stayed in a mostly middle class to working class community too. I can only imagine how they terrorized poorer communities than the one I lived in.

It sucks but I think it may be time for the peaceful protesters to give it a break for a few days as the movement is being overshadowed by the small amount of people doing criminal activity.

I truly believe most Americans would never wish what you describe on anyone in this day. When there is a high profile case like this people seem to say it is not that often or it happens so much less the 200?? or 19??.

What I wonder though is the real stuff, the root causes similar to which you allude are they less and less as we go forward in time and evolution. Is it reserved for only the worst areas and only a very few times that harassment occurs. Things like driving while Black in white neighborhoods. Or the numerous harassing things in minority areas?

Yep. And almost 1,000 arrested in Chicago alone over the weekend.

Shows how big these protests are that 1,000 arrested can be a small amount of the total people.

A South Philadelphia gun shop owner shot and killed a man trying to break into his store early Tuesday morning amid heightened looting concerns.

Philadelphia police said the owner of Firing Line Inc. was staying the night inside the shop on South Front Street because over the last few nights someone had tried breaking in.

The owner told police he was monitoring his surveillance camera and saw three or four men trying to get in around 4:15 a.m. The group was using bolt cutters on the gate. A broken lock could later be seen on the ground.

The group then smashed in the back door and broke glass, police said. When they made it upstairs the 67-year-old owner started shooting his Bushmaster M-4 rifle, striking shot one man in the head, police said

I dont know what you and mac are trying to do.
As I have said before on numerous times. I am truly sorry for what I did,if I could go back and not do I would. Not just for what it did to me but mostly for those around me.
I have paid my debt to society,I have done all the courts asked of me and more.
And lastly your taunts and such really do not effect me. You do not have that power over me.

That's because you are basing it on nothing. For someone who dislikes religion as much as you, you have certainly bought into this new one. But it's good to see that you are sensible enough so see that continued protests are providing cover for looting, destruction and violence. And they has been since Saturday at least.

SomeGuy got fired from "Law and Order" for posting something about shooting any looters who come on to his property.

Crazy times.

Ok, I'll play. How many total protesters in Chicago would there have to be for the looters to be a small portion of them?

Also, keep in mind that not all 1,000 were arrested for looting. Many protesters were arrested for standing around.

A protest is organized in DG for Sunday. There was suppose to be one tonight but it was organized by a white person so they cancelled it to amplify the one organized by non white people. Most business have boarded up already so I assume they will remain that way for the next 5 days. Nextdoor is really something else. Most people would fit right in here. Hoo Boy!

The death of a total stranger is cause for celebration for you?
Why can't it be that I'm celebrating someone defending their life?

The fuck out of here with your concern trolling, anyway, you let Ogie celebrate dead cops ad nauseum on this board. I doubt you even said anything to him about threatening to kill another poster.

He did. Yet, I still found a way not to express my happiness with a Stone Cold gif.
