It was appalling. I wasn't even aware that he said he wanted to kill WFR  What a attractive lady eh?

FF was rooting for it. Said it would make the world a better place. So now you see why calling out Ogie is bad, and you are being called names for it.

I never said calling out Ogie was bad you illiterate dipshit. You’re constantly wrong about everything you accuse me of saying

I said the world would be better off with you dead. Just a matter of fact statement. You’re the most angry poster I’ve ever seen here and I can’t even come up with a close second. And that’s 13 years of posting here. And you clearly have no desire to address the emotional problems that cause you to be this hateful and angry. At least guys like America and JLN can crack a joke every once in awhile between their bullshit race baiting.

Have you read a B Mac post?

I try not to. I didn’t say the world would be better off with me dead.

Would you mind if I wished ill upoon you and your house?

Seattle canceled the curfew tonight. The 1st Amendment is cool in Washington again for at least a night. Hopefully someone can make the 1st Amendment great again.

Nobody gives a fuck about the 1st amendment anymore. Righties don’t want free speech for protestors and lefties don’t want free speech for anti-protest protestors. They just can never agree on who should have free speech and who can’t. *both sides* equate speech to violence and law breaking when it suits them. Same with free assembly.

They threw away all your rights for a bad case of cough. And these fucking liberals couldn't get enough of it until suddenly their race obsession had a chance to be front and center again.

So yeah, roll the damn tanks.

I think righties and lefties finally realize how important free speech really is, neither of them want their communities burned, looted, or see people beaten and shot in the streets.

George Floyd had covid. The killer needs to get tested since he was in close contact. The three onlooker cops are safe because they didn't do anything and stood far away

Why do posters kiss this adolescent's ass? I'll never understand it. I can see why WFR pisses people off--he's gotten me angry before--but he's actually right about a lot of things. America brings zero to the table.

People are scared of the Constitution generally. For a century we have trampled on the 10th amendment. I am not sure anyone believes in due process. Of course people love free speech as long as it is speech they agree with. I mean we have this massive debate about censoring the president on social media. Think about that for a second.....

We of course have a huge amount of people that want to end or at least severely limit the second amendment.

But abortion is a constitutional right. Amazing. Abortion is a classic 10th amendment issue, but then again, no one believes in that amendment.

There are times--like when chaos reigns--that the Five Freedoms are abridged, and rightly so.

Me? I don’t think we as a board talk about abortion much and I’ve avoided the politics section in general the last few months. In past threads I’ve said I don’t think it should be legal and that hasn’t changed.

The Supreme Court disagrees. If 1 state is allowed to murder babies, it kinda makes sense to extend that barbaric activity to all states.

You have a bad or short memory. We’ve talked about this even before I joined the army going back to 2007 or 2008 and I know it’s come up in the past 5-6 years again as well I’m sure.

We could use a good ole fashioned abortion thread to lighten the mood around here. Start one up.

I thought this was good: https://www.jacobinmag.com/2020/06/defu ... lex-vitale

Quote:
MD: It’s so strange and unexpected to see a resurgence of protests against police brutality in this moment, of all moments, with the COVID-19 pandemic in full swing and much of the nation still theoretically in coronavirus-related lockdown. I didn’t even expect to see people protesting the inadequate coronavirus response en masse, much less protesting racist police violence. How can we make sense of this?

AV: It is kind of shocking. I also assumed that the social distancing imperatives would dramatically curtail street protest. But I think we’re in a moment of profound crisis that goes far beyond policing, and that the coronavirus crisis and the coming economic depression are part of what’s driving this. It’s the convergence of a bunch of different factors. Completely unreformed brutal policing is just the catalyst that has unleashed a kind of generational activism that’s responding to a deeper crisis, which policing is part of and emblematic of.

MD: I see many different kinds of people at the protests. There are poor and working-class black people, but there are also young white people, many presumably from middle-class backgrounds. That seems to support what you’re saying, that the protests are driven by anger both at police violence against black people in particular, and at a wider variety of social phenomena.

AV: I think what we’re seeing is the residuum of Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, and the Sanders campaign, movements united by a sense that our basic economic system is not working. Even people who don’t personally experience police violence see a future of economic and environmental collapse and are terrified and angry. If we had a booming economy, it would mute this. If we had credible leadership in Washington, it would mute this. But not only is Trump in the White House, I don’t think that anyone believes Biden is going to fix it.

When we think about the urban uprisings of the 1960s, we don’t think of them as being solely about policing. We understand that policing incidents were a trigger, but that they were a response to a deep problem of racial and economic inequality in America. That’s how we have to understand what’s happening today. Police are the public face of the failure of the state to provide for people’s basic needs, and to paper over that failure with solutions that just harm people further.

That’s where we see the same problem but different causes. I think it’s emblematic of the state needing to back the fuck off people, not take better care of them.
