Good for you, Nas.

I can understand wanting armed police out of the schools. Defunding police seems like a bad idea. Redirecting funds used for guns and humvees towards better teaching and training practices is likely a better way to see true reform.

The one officer looks like he's gonna help but is quickly shoved away.

The guy they pushed was recording it. It will make an interesting video...if it still exists (I’m betting his phone was broke or lost when he “tripped”).

Fuck that guy. What did that idiot think that he was doing anyway? He got in the face of cops and had a helmet in his hand which BTW can be used as a weapon when swung as a club. I would imagine that this guy was ordered to disburse and decided to get in some cops face. He got slightly pushed and fell on his sorry ass. Tough shit.

Security Forces Riddle Dead Body with Bullets; Area Man Expresses Support

A Chicago private security contractor was caught on video discharging his weapon into the cadaver of a man who died over 65 years ago. The video shows the cadaver, which was recently discovered in an abandoned alley grasping a helmet, undergoing what scientists call post-mortem movements, a natural part of the decomposition process that involves the lifeless body making a series of short but sharp movements as it releases gas and other particles. Apparently startled, a nearby security contractor fired over 60 rounds into the cadaver, according to CCTV footage.

One of the contractors then bends down to check on him. “Get that son of a b.itch!,” a bystander shouts. “What the fuck are you talking about, he’s already dead,” another voice can be heard saying on the video.

The cadaver was rushed to a nearby hospital by medics and was pronounced still dead, according to the medical examiner’s office. The two contractors involved in the incident have been suspended pending further investigation, according to local law enforcement.

“Fuck that guy, what did that idiot think that he was doing anyway?,” the first bystander remarked to Channel 5 News. “He refused to surrender to the officers when ordered and had a helmet in his hand which by the way can be used as a weapon when swung as a club.” Upon being reminded that a cadaver is typically lifeless and unthreatening, the animated bystander – frothing at the mouth – replied, “tough shit.”

The incident happened soon after a protest concluded in an area where four Sweetgreen restaurants were looted in honor of diet icon Jenny Craig, who was gunned down last week during a botched robbery.

Meanwhile, the GOP chairman-elect in Harris County, Keith Nielsen, posted an image on Facebook earlier this week that showed a Martin Luther King Jr. quote — "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" — on a background with a banana. The juxtaposition of the quote and the banana can be read as an allusion to equating black people with monkeys, a well-worn racist trope. Nielsen appears to have deleted the post and apparently addressed it on his Facebook page Thursday evening.

"It is unfortunate that the sentiment of the quote and my admiration for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has been overshadowed by people's misinterpretation of an image," Nielsen wrote, calling for "racial reconciliation" in America. "My hope is I will continue to be part of the solution and never part of the problem."

That's awesome "I love MLK! What's the big deal if I put his quote on a background with a banana? These SJWs...I tell ya what."

It's bullshit indoctrination.

Let's just start with some of the overt racist assumptions: "I guarantee some of the black dudes would smoke you in the race". "Take two steps forward if you received free college based on something other than athletic ability"

A two parent home is not an example of racial privilege and neither is a father figure. It's an issue but that is not a race based issue.

There are legitimate ways to run this type of exercise. This is actually a really bad example.

For every dollar that a black person in this country is worth a white person is worth 13.

Do you not believe that this number is a sign of inequality or not?

as I said, there are legitimate ways to run this type of exercise but this is a really bad example

In the eyes of many there will never be a good way to run this type of race. Most hope that the race simply will not be run at all.

He could have done it differently or better but the premise behind it was still valid.

yeah, but this particular exercise is being held up as something worthy of my time when it is not. Golden Jet thought it was powerful and kids are being influenced by the content even though it is ridiculously flawed. The path to hell is paved in good intentions

But it really isn't all that flawed. It just makes people uncomfortable to even have the conversation at all.

Everyone's a critic.

Post a better example or fuck off.

Do you chase laser pointer dots on the ground as well?

Everyone SHOULD be a critic.

Why did you view that video's message as one entirely based on race? Why do you view these protests as an entirely racial issue?

Nas there is a reason we dont listen to teenagers. These people think they want this world but they really dont. They really, really dont.

But I'm done fighting it. The only way to defeat leftism is to let it fail on its own terms.

The video is about privilege. And there has been national call for white families to have discussions about their privilege. Of course that's that the video is about and suggesting.

Cops love those SRO jobs. They literally get paid to sit in a school all day. Not only are they not allowed to touch a child but if someone was shooting outside or comes instead the school they aren't allowed to engage. They don't even carry their weapon. Their presence is just supposed to be a deterrent.

Yes. There were black kids who moved and white kids who didn't. Most of us are born with advantages we had nothing to do with. Understanding that may humble MANY of us.

The school contract is paying for officers to be in the school not their guns or humvees. If that's what they want fine. No policing schools. Pull police out of the neighborhoods where people don't want them. Let people who don't want police to be taxes less. Mark those areas as police free zones. That is about the only way you are going to have the zero incidents that the mob is demanding.

No they aren't. I work with them directly and actually had one of them removed for being lazy as shit. She hated the fact that she had to go back on the street after 18 years of sitting in a cushy ass office and going shopping whenever she wanted.

Working in schools is one of the cushiest jobs that CPD can have.

So you are denying that the national conversation isn't about white privilege? There was a special on NBC about this last night. It is on almost every newscast. And the news coverage literally calls it a video on white privilege:

Do I (as to the protests)?

I've said before that we all benefit from police reform. I've even laid out a few ideas for change that are race neutral.

We also all benefit from creating an environment where we maximize everyone's potential, or at least provide everyone an ability to maximize their potential.

As to the video? Well, come on. The questions are created in such a way that it is pointing in only one direction. Do you think you could come away from that exercise thinking about the male/female power structure or any number of other inequalities?

It never mentioned White Privilege...it only talked about Privilege.

So you are denying that the national conversation isn't about white privilege? There was a special on NBC about this last night. It is on almost every newscast. And the news coverage literally calls it a video on white privilege:

No dipshit, I'm only talking about the video.

White Privilege is not the only Privilege we have going...but it certainly is predominant for this conversation.
