There are 360 million police interactions with citizens every year in this country according to the top cop who complained about media coverage the other day. He says that most cops aren't like the the guy in Minnesota and that most interactions don't end that way. He's ABSOLUTELY right.

All poor people aren't criminals either. Also, why are there 360 million police interactions with citizens every year? Why are there 10 million arrests annually and more than 95% aren't for violent crimes? These are the things that poor people have been complaining about for years and they are finally being "heard".

Saying "I would listen to poor people cries for equal protection IF it wasn't because of rioting or editorials." is just another way of saying that you aren't interested in listening period. It's also like someone saying nearly 250 years ago that they would have been cool with independence but they saw a few guys take tea home.

It's a fraternity and most support blue above everything else. Black cops and correction officers that I know SWEAR that they would and have told someone who was crossing the line to relax. I've been to some of the parties and have heard enough stories to know that they aren't exempt from criticism and that MANY have abused their power too and MOST look down on "poor" people.

This is why there is only two ways this goes forward: No more police or violent clampdown on the protests. There is absolutely no room for middle ground anymore because its a certainty that as long as there are police there will come a moment when something like the George Floyd arrest is caught on film again. Then comes the riots.

I truly wish it were not this way, but it is. We are going to play this exact thing out again in the coming years, there is no stopping it. It's as inevitable as time.

There are serious policy (Affirmative Action, Gay/Lesbian Social Programs) differences between the 2 that have arisen since the passage of the Civil Rights Bill. That's makes it tough to say that they are one and the same. They aren't and haven't been for awhile.

Free market economy with differences on regulations
