I never knew the upside down red triangle was a bad symbol that should be banned. Growing up I thought that is was a gay pride symbol used by Bronski Beat on records. Just as the circle game was something stupid everyone did but is also a symbol for white supremacy. Maybe we should just ban all symbols because no matter what it is someone seems to be offended even if multiple groups use it for different reasons.

While I'll admit that I was unaware of the symbolism, I heard in a radio discussion that the upside down triangle symbols were color coded by the Nazi's based upon the group you were presumed to be affiliated with. Pink (as in Bronski Beat) being gay, red was used for political prisoners (socialists, communists, trade unionists, etc).
