I'm not going to answer such a vague question. How do you define "good" and "not good"?

When would’ve been a good time for them to wildly brandish their weapons Bill ? As they were coming through their front door?

Only issue I have is them pointing the guns at people. If they want to stand armed guard in their driveway as a deterrent to protesters getting any wise ideas I have no problem with that. But, it didn't appear from the video that they should've felt threatened enough to point guns at people walking by.

Yeah, looked like the woman had her finger right on the trigger and everything.

Sort of siding over to the "why aren't we talking about gang violence" perspective. These guys outside their home did a pretty dumb thing, potentially, but there are people everyday all over actually pulling triggers that result in actual dead bodies, including kids. Would rather focus on that.

Oh, so NOW the direction the weapon in their hand is aimed is called "pointing" and "at" something. Is this where I can say that they were clearly just flailing?

But gee, I wonder, what could possibly be different about this situation that would cause you to use proper descriptive verbiage in saying that they were "pointing" their weapons "at" people? Hmmm....

I want the next CFMB outing to start out as a debate. We can pick any topic that brings out the fire and passion. I am proposing that the teams be split up like this.

The red corner: Team Ready Kaner and Able.
G. Zimmerman Lecture Notes aka juicy, the aspiring lawyer and future talk show legend.
Brogue, master of Twitter trolling and the leading cause of JDC’s mental health issues.
“Doc” PittMike, pre-gaming with whiskey and Molsons, ready to slur his team to victory.

The blue corner: Team I know you are but what am I?
B “baby face” Mac, the unrelenting grain of sand in your shoe and the gas in your stomach.
Whoa whoa BoRick, undefeated on CFMB but changing diapers in real life.
Golden Shower Jet, an emerging force and ally to Karens worldwide.

Whoever broke the gate should pay for it, that wasn't very nice.

So, Zimmerman, should the couple brandishing their weapons, at people walking past their house, have pulled the trigger?

Do you believe they would have been in their rights?

At some point, as 500 people made their way through the gate towards the mayor's house, the gate was wrenched upon and broken. Were these upstanding members of the community within their right to shoot their weapons?

What's your opinion ZLN?

Did you watch the full video? I watched the one on NY Post. It seems they only came out after the people started on their property and then made motions to the front entrance. The man never left front area and the shouting was basically telling them all to stay off. The state it happened in is a stand your ground when it involves your house.

Looks like people were walking on the sidewalk and when the crazy lady came over pointing her pistol at them, they either kept moving in the direction they were headed or they filmed her.

This heated microanalysis of Twitter or IG videos nationwide is going to be the end of us, I swear. So many vitriolic arguments are launched over 30-45 seconds of what usually is just bullshit. A couple walks out of their door in Missouri, waves some guns at people, then three hours later the whole fucking internet is in outrage mode 10x. People are trading the most horrific of insults with each other over what is ultimately nothing. No one died, no one got shot, no one got sent to prison, but this fucking video of nothingness is plastered all over cable TV 9/11 style. It's fucking insane. Not picking on anyone here, I'm guilty of this too. I don't know how people can go tell each other with no compunction whatsoever to kill each other in comment sections and then go out and be absolutely normal people in society. Like I'm trying to imagine the cashier at Menard's who made polite small talk with me logging onto the internet after work and telling a bunch of people to die in a fire because they're saying shit she doesn't like about strangers in a video. Were people always like this before we were allowed to interact with each other anonymously and without consequence for what we say? I'd like to think not.

Ok, thats good then.

Halloween is pre-election, so it should be OK.

It was just a question, and you answered it in a consistent manner with your other post.

Normally, you are pretty pro-police so it's good you were willing to criticize them. Nothing more than that.

But the gate was unlocked! Someone held the gate open for the peaceful protesters before they destroyed it and threatened these people!

For once a legal scholar has common sense
Quote:
Anders Walker, a constitutional law professor at St. Louis University, said that although it's "very dangerous" to engage protesters with guns, the homeowners broke no laws by brandishing or pointing weapons at them because Portland Place is a private street. He said the McCloskeys are protected by Missouri's Castle Doctrine, which allows people to use deadly force to defend private property.

You quoted a legal scholar then highlighted the part of their statement that has nothing to do with their authority as a scholar.
 Fucking idiot.

HEY PRETEND LAWYER... find in this thread where i've said what they did was illegal.

there are lots of things i can do that are legal AND stupid. the fact they reacted to one groups stupid decision by doing something ten times more stupid is what anyone with brains can decipher... you are hung up on the legal aspects of their stupid actions (of course, because as a pretend lawyer it's good to litigate)

Fuck that.

Any time you do something involving having a mob at your back you are using FEAR to try to get something.

In that instance, causing FEAR in people, you are going to get a defensive response, which is entirely justified.

The way these liberal fucks want people to just roll over and sacrifice themselves for the benefit of a bunch of idealistic, tofu-eating, stanky, hairy-armpit having mortherfuckers to have their way is ridiculous.

Lori Lightfoot on Chicago violence.

“The reality is that we have, in some ways the perfect storm, which means the worst possible circumstances. We have almost three months of COVID-19, where people were compelled to stay inside. We have concern amongst many about the spread of the disease. Some of our law enforcement partners have not been fully online because of their own concerns about the risk. And what we still see is the underlying root causes of violence,” Lightfoot said, who underlined that those problems that haven’t fully gone away.

“It’s poverty, lack of hope, despair. Access to, really, the things that we know build healthy and strong families and communities. Those challenges remain. But they’re all being kind of compressed in the same set of circumstances.”

She conveniently left out:
Poor parenting
Absentee fathers
Welfare dependency
Low morals
Unwillingness to work

"Compelled" to stay indoors? The mayor herself literally drove around and screamed at people to go home, closed nearly every public place in the city, and threatened arrest and car towing for those who did not obey her orders.

Who in the world does think she is crapping?
