not really as excited as I thought I'd be

all these leagues returns seem more like exhibition games

NFL will save the day

It will all get shut down when a janitor tests positive for the Coronavirus and tells his story about how he battled a "mild cold".

NBA should have pulled the plug months ago, its over, guys, nobody cares anymore. They should take this extra time to catch their breath and make sure they are ready for the next season. MLB should just give up as well, even if they get a 2-month season in, who gives a shit. Take the year off and come back strong next season when everything can be hopefully back to some semblance of normal. NFL you are up next, but i have a feeling all the pressure from "science" will fuck that all up too. If my kid isn't even allowed to have Cross Country practice with 20 other perfectly healthy teenagers how the fuck can "they" allow the NFL to happen?

I'm actually over sports right now. I thought I would really be missing it but to be honestly I'm too fucking exhausted from all this to put any energy into sports. If it will shut everyone in and around all of these leagues up about how dangerous everything will be just cancel them all and wake me up when its over. WSCR can become NPR and bore everyone to death.

I think the trepidation also rests in the noise of "protesting". I'm excited for any sports to come back but i'm not excited for the media circuis of who is kneeling, who's got BLM on their shoes and crap.

Agreed. The NFL still has time to put together some kind of meaningful schedule.

NBA - it's over. Probably too early - especially since they plan to open in a hot spot and a bunch of guys likely will end up choosing not to play.

MLB - See NBA. Even I, as a Cub fan, would not take much satisfaction in a 60 game season with 45 teams in the playoffs or whatever their plan is and, again, I'm sure many guys will still choose not to play.

I don't care about any of the rest of it.

All that really matters to me is that the Tour de France goes off at the end of August after being moved back 2 months. I hear Europe is A-OK now.

My best hope is NFL / NCAA football and then NCAA basketball where Ayo and Kofi come back to lead the Illini to the championship that was stolen from them in the Spring of 2020.

Will they have to ride their bikes 6 feet apart?

I've gotten so disgusted with the NFL owners and managers, I'm almost to the point where I hope that they fail in epic proportions.

The UFC has had some fantastic fights of late as I posted in one of the MMA threads. I am not excited for any of the major sports. Baseball looks to be a gimmick, and pretty much the same with the NHL and NBA. And I agree that any hiccup, and it probably gets shut down.

Going to be hard to do for the Illini since Kofi is going to be a top 10 draft pick according to some 8)

Well, my hopes for NCAA football almost lasted an hour.

I am looking forward to that as well. Definitely going to have to DVR and prioritize viewing. Usually, I watch most of every stage but that will change if the NHL playoffs are going on at the same time. The mountain stages are the must-watch stages but sometimes the windy stages get interesting. I'll just watch the last 30 minutes of the sprint stages. I am also looking forward to Lance Armstrong's podcast breaking down the stages. That is fantastic and entertaining analysis.

But am I excited? Fuck yes! I will watch ANY LIVE SPORTS right now. I have watched every lap of each Nascar race since they came back live and with all the rain delays and postponements and without cable or a streaming package- that has taken some work and dedication. Hell, I would watch baseball and the NBA if they were on and those are sports I usually ignore.
