So it's really, really important for the NBA to maintain access to a country where they cut off your hands for theft and cut off your dick for rape?

Thanks for illustrating once again how utterly stupid you happen to be.

The NBA seems to think so, which is why they told Morey to shut up and got their top player to criticize his political speech on the matter.

The NBA informed teams Thursday of a slight cut to its projected salary cap and luxury tax threshold next season as league officials contend with the financial fallout from a dispute with Chinese sponsors.

The projected salary cap for the 2020-21 NBA season dropped to $115 million, down from a previous estimate of $116 million, ESPN reported, citing league sources. Some team front-office executives are reportedly preparing for a drop to as low as $113 million by the time the salary cap is finalized.

NBA teams that exceed the luxury tax threshold are required to pay an additional penalty. The projected threshold for the 2020-21 season fell to $139 million, down from a previous projection of $141 million.

You really can't argue with Nas or LTG using logic or the English language. They are both so stupid that the majority of their arguments are nonsensical. Nas has to joke that he's "trolling" while being completely incoherent the majority of the time. NBA players who bitch about America while praising China are full of shit dangerous hypocrites. Don't let these two complete idiots distract from that with their usual Trump bitching.

I don't know what argument you think you're having, LTG, but I hope you think you're doing well in it. Thanks for the laughs.

From the man that once intuitively (not) believed that he was demonstrating "intellectual" depth by his utilization of the phrase "childish premise" that's sort of rich.

What is the difference from say an adult premise and a childish premise? infant premise and childish premise? elderly premise and childish premise? Middle aged and Childish premise?

People with mental faculties like those of children usually have trouble understanding and accepting that acts can serve multiple purposes, like serving both political and economic ends.

Wrong answer. There is no way for WFR and World Atlas to know what you mean by "childish premise" from reading this. You might want to provide something more pertinent and relevant to the question.

There were 100 murders and 500 shootings in Chicago last month. We know none of the names. That's black fragility. When 5 percent of the population commits the majority of murders, rapes, and assaults maybe it would be time for inward thinking and analyzing rather than violently lashing out to blame everyone else.

Yet that's all we get. It's the exact same mentality to say supporting China isn't really supporting China. Fuck off with this bullshit. Always here to point fingers and list out grievances.

Illogical conclusion derived from a not so "childish" premise. Lacks relevance. There is no such connection between Morey's criticism of China and the murders of black people in Chicago. You might want to provide a response that actually pertains to the subject matter and topic at hand.

"Literal mental invalid" Sounds like you're the "retard" and the only thing that you're actually "supporting" right now is a bottle of Jose Cuervo. This Although I don't believe you necessarily need that in order to be a barely literate buffoon.

Yep. I sort of remember him claiming to have once been a reporter. With his frequent abuse of the English language I can see why Streetwise canned him as a beat reporter.
How much editing of phrases such as "childish premise" and "literal mental invalid" could its crack editing department actually take?

Well stated. I had a chance to watch the great Clarence Thomas being interviewed on CSPAN yesterday and he talked about inward thinking and discussing things with different people with different slants or ideas about things in a friendly environment and forum. He contrasted this to what is occurring right now in the news media where they pick a side on an issue and attack the people who disagree with their own personal view on things.

I find it interesting how these two posters LTG and NAS once again go to the racial card in an argument with a white poster and call him a drunk and an unsuccessful person. As for calling him a "barely literate buffoon, that is pretty hilarious and obviously WRONG. There are a few barely literate people on this board such as Mac and Ike but WFR is far from it. This board, over-all, isn't populated by illiterates. Assholes abound but assholes don't have to be illiterate as a requisite.

You are the same tone deaf jerk who claimed that "only the blacks" on here are racist. Who in the hell (besides Two Buck Chuck) would ever give credence to anything that your dumbass has to say?

Since you seem to be well versed in WFR speak feel free to elaborate on what "childish premise" means?

The arc of a "winning" Litigation Notes argument.
Juice's Lecture Notes wrote:
You can try to couch it as purely a business decision all you want, doesn't make it true.

I will ask again. What makes the decision to silence Morey politically and not financially based?

Juice's Lecture Notes wrote:
I said why it is political: Silencing Morey was aimed specifically at silencing his political speech about a specific topic—that's political in and of itself.

The NBA doesn't silence all political speech in an effort to avoid uneasy conversations with business partners, only certain types of politics. In fact, they are now actively seeking to make politicking of a certain type a central focus of their entire sports league. That makes them political actors.

What are the "political" ramifications of continuing to allow Morey to speak out against China's human rights abuses?

Juice's Lecture Notes wrote:
Closing borders IS a political ramification. It is a political act (borders are LITERALLY political), born from the governing political body in response to, in this case, political speech.

So it's really, really important for the NBA to maintain access to a country where they cut off your hands for theft and cut off your dick for rape?

Juice's Lecture Notes wrote:

The NBA seems to think so, which is why they told Morey to shut up and got their top player to criticize his political speech on the matter.

Silver said the NBA could stand to lose up to $400 million as its Chinese business partners cut ties with the league following social media comments made by Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey last October in support of Hong Kong protesters.
