Idk if if this is related to what you posted. I wonder what if anything happens when it becomes more clear that the main minority in the US is Hispanic rather than African American. Cancel the NBA and the NFL and a lot of rich Black men, many but not all of whom can be role models, are going to lose. Because the advertisers are still going to focus on white men 35-54, and without advertisers, there are no huge TV contracts and the salaries will drop.

So instead of focusing on a guy like Sam Acho, who is trying to put a grocery store in Austin and using his sports connections to raise money, society focuses on either of these Jacksons.

It seemed relevant when Bernie Sanders proved overwhelmingly popular with Hispanic voters, and I think they've been punished a bit for their insolence. You don't hear much about Puerto Rico or the border camps these days, but I don't think either problem has been solved.

If we're not there already, I think we're fast approaching the point where blacks are overrepresented in Democratic politics and Hispanics are underrepresented, and there's going to be some fighting over that power.
