But to your main point, the only "evidence" I've seen supporting the efficacy of masks has been anecdotal and/or correlation. Every study that predates the political/religious demands of the moment suggests that masks in the current situation are useless at best and possibly harmful.

Someone posted a meme about wearing a mask and it showed guys wearing luchador masks with everything covered but the nose, eyes, and mouth.

I pointed out that that type of mask probably wouldn't work like he hoped.

But I don't think anyone would say anything. Because masking really is theater. A large percentage of masks are worn below the nose or even on the chin. A woman who shops at my Jewel- I've seen her twice- wears a modified Hefty bag on her head with eye cutouts.

in dane county they said this morning that face shields dont count as masks. \

yet the whole time they said all the masks do is limit water droplets from spreading. because the virus can go right through masks if its airborne.

so if you go by THEIR science, a face shield is much better than a homemade mask.

yet they said you will get a $376 fine for wearing a face shield.

it's clearly bullshit, this is clearly an abuse of power, and this is going to get very ugly fast.

I spent seventy hours in planes across five continents in March. Didn't wear a mask once, and only on my flight from Johannesburg to Abu Dhabi were the flight attendants even wearing them. By all accounts I marched right through the belly of the beast without this crucial life saving thing on my head.

Wound up being fine. Nobody I've been in contact with has had rona either, so I was hardly an asymptomatic carrier. I can also vouch that none of coworkers got it, we're talking about five hundred people doing lots of international travel with no masks. No rona.

Verdict: masks are gay and probably give you brain AIDS. Deacon Jones proof of concept, he's so pozzed the bug is oozing out his fucking eyeballs.

Does the virus know the difference?

Here’s to you getting it sooner than later and hopefully giving to your loved ones and if you are lucky nobody dies they just spend a month in the ICU. Maybe then you will see what a moron you really are because god forbid you have to wear a mask for several months till there is a vaccine which I am sure you will not even take because you are a tough guy.

I posted about Bill Nye on my FB page this morning.

He puts on an N95 mask with a lit candle in front of the mask and proceeds to demonstrate how he can't blow out the candle. Neat.

He then proceeds to put on the traditional blue disposable mask and SCREAM at his audience to wear a mask to protect others.

Quite easy to blow out the candle with the disposable blue mask or any cotton/cloth version.

What a fucking medicine show that was.
