I was talking to a European woman in her 30's a few weeks ago because we were forced to wait in a line. Naturally, the conversation touches on looting. Neither of us liked the looting. She then says, "The coloured people weren't the only ones doing it."

I hadn't heard someone use the word coloured in decades outside of television or a joke. I thought if I heard it again it would be an old racist person saying it. I didn't attack her or even blink when she said it though. She wasn't trying to be hateful and may not have known that wasn't the best word to use. It's okay not to immediately assume the worst of people.

Cardi B used to drug and rob men as a stripper and didn't think it was wrong. She doesn't strike me as someone who has a tight grip or reality. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't know MANY things.

It would be considered positive (who wouldn't want to be good with money?) in the same way that liking watermelon wouldn't appear to be offensive on the surface (who doesn't like watermelon?). On the other hand, I find it hard to take Asians seriously who claim to be offended that they are perceived as naturally good at math/science.
