science. the virus is airborne. you breathe every few seconds. homemade masks only block about half of the virus particles from going through. if you do the math, that means 50% of the virus particles go right through the stupid thing and still infect others.

Quite easy to blow out the candle with the disposable blue mask or any cotton/cloth version.

What a fucking medicine show that was.

I wear one to do stuff I want to do, because I'm forced to.

I firmly believe those who are most vulnerable are responsible for their own protection.

I'm sorry you want everyone else to protect you.

That’s right asshole you will probably be just fine if you get the virus. You could have it right now with no symptoms and because you go out in public with no mask you are much more likely to give it to someone you know who is vulnerable. I will give you a little time to see if you understand though probably not. I feel sad for your family and friends.

That's a great point. I never thought of that. I'm glad you started this thread to educate us. I'm never taking a mask off again!

Wound up being fine. Nobody I've been in contact with has had rona either, so I was hardly an asymptomatic carrier. I can also vouch that none of coworkers got it, we're talking about five hundred people doing lots of international travel with no masks. No rona.

Verdict: masks are gay and probably give you brain AIDS. Deacon Jones proof of concept, he's so pozzed the bug is oozing out his fucking eyeballs.

Masks are the least economically damaging way of trying to keep the virus at manageable levels. The fight against masks is basically asking for more things to get shut down or severely restricted if things get worse in certain states/cities.

It seems undisputed that wearing a mask is going to lessen droplets going out by some percentage and droplets are how this spreads right?

Or is that disputed?

Why do we cover our mouths or noses when sneezing or coughing?

Seems like people not spreading droplets as much would naturally lead to some reduction of spread.

Dude i am absolutely wearing a mask at all the calls I run.
Less than one customer a day wears a mask. I mean its their home. They can do what they want.

Yeah I agree. I absolutely hate them and do not want to wear one at all but if that is what it takes to keep from shutting down and getting back to somewhat normalcy then so be it.

If they asked, yes. I'd keep distance fpr sure but if they are masked up for me I can return the favor, especially in a short period of time, doesn't seem like a big deal.

New York (CNN Business)Walmart, the world's largest retailer, is the latest national chain to require all customers to wear masks.
The change will start next week. Starbucks (SBUX)said last week that it will require customers to wear facial coverings or masks in all 9,000 of its company-owned US stores beginning Wednesday. Best Buy (BBY) announced Tuesday that it will also require all shoppers coming into its approximately 1,000 stores to wear face masks. Costco (COST) began requiring its members to wear masks in stores beginning in May.

walmart requiring masks is going to be wild. the cell phone videos will be something else

In my opinion it has a marginal benefit. You still let aresols through and you touch your face more so I don't think they do a whole lot.

But that's not the reason I hate them. I hate them because this virus isnt scary and im surrounded by a bunch of ferries.

These are fair questions.....my honest answer is no for both.
Salon Diablo has had a number of folks in and out to get their hair did. No masks required. We're still alive. Same with pest control.....and pool repair. They offered, and my comment was it's entirely up to you....we don't need you to put one on.
