The best strategy is to get those heavy beers done early. Don't save the Guiness or Bass till the end.

Well, they do have to excavate a giant hole. What company did you use?

We, who have been required to work through the pandemic whilst most office workers are working from home, have been granted 8 extra hours of Paid Day Off for each week we worked, up to 80 hours. Unlike my usual PDO, we are able to carry this time over into next year, but Management is encouraging us to use it as soon as possible. I carry over the max vacation annually already, and barely get my current PDO used up. I took a little time last week to check the vacation calendar, and the last week of July/first of August was the only time our schedule that's available this calendar year for me to take off. I already had next week off on vacation, so I also took the following week to burn half of the Covid PDO.

tl;dr: I left work 0600 Thursday morning and won't return until Training week, Tuesday, August 4!! Three projects await, in addition to the myriad little things...

That was the key.

Have you ever owned a boat? It's called "bust out another thousand".

Trust me....having a pool is the same damn thing. This year, however, we have really enjoyed ours, so it's finally worth it.

I bought a pool from the Great Escape that included installation so they contract to some low cost company. They did get the grade right and the pool looks installed correctly, but they trashed my fence getting the back hoe in. But whatever.
