The Cubs getting only 3 runs off of the group of pitchers the Sox ran out there should make them very worried.

while I agree, I'd never bank on so many un and under tested players to lead us to a championship. I think this 60 game season hurts us as we needed the long form for proving. Now, in 2021 we are still going to have key pieces that have never experienced the grind of 162 game seasons.

The level of optimism is starting to make me nervous. As a collective group us Sox fans should never be this confident in things not going disastrously wrong.

Knowing our luck half the team will get Covid, but barring that this is a very deep team with some real organizational depth. I'd like another option at corner OF (Puig please), but other than that I can't think of any real holes here.

Even without Kopech we have 6 guys who could start in the rotation during a season in which you could get by with a 4 man rotation.

That was a fun game to watch yesterday. When they batted around in the line-up and hit shot after shot, it was awesome. I really like that last pitcher that they trotted out. I remember him from last season and he can really bring heat and his slider has a nice late break to it.

I also think that the Cubs starter was loading up the ball on some of his pitches. He often went to his back pocket before he set his foot on the rubber and I noticed that he had a lot of strange movement on the ball..

Are you buying the consensus hitters will be ahead of pitchers? If so, we should be optimistic for a good start.

I don't think with this sort of season anybody can Bank on anyting. I know I'm not breaking any news here, but the White Sox success will depend on their pitchers. They're likely going to score runs

Their success will come down to pitching and health. If the lineup is healthy they are going to knock the hell out of the ball. If the starting pitching holds up and their closer is close to last year then they should be at minimum a wildcard team.

He's not always cheap. He just spends money stupidly and passes on good investments (in terms of players, that is).

Sure. The hitting should be decent, but the pitching and defense will determine if they are any good.

Good call RFDC. The bullpen is a crapshoot as well, but it is for almost every MLB team.
