But am I excited? Fuck yes! I will watch ANY LIVE SPORTS right now. I have watched every lap of each Nascar race since they came back live and with all the rain delays and postponements and without cable or a streaming package- that has taken some work and dedication. Hell, I would watch baseball and the NBA if they were on and those are sports I usually ignore.

exactly.

I am excited for it. Baseball for sure, not as much NBA due them tryin to mix in social bullshit, but it is a sport I watch and would like to see if Giannis or Lebron can win.

Im worried that the NFL might not start on time though. I mean fuck, preseason games start in 5 weeks, will they happen?

The UFC has had some fantastic fights of late as I posted in one of the MMA threads. I am not excited for any of the major sports. Baseball looks to be a gimmick, and pretty much the same with the NHL and NBA. And I agree that any hiccup, and it probably gets shut down.

I don't think so. I think they have a percentage of positives in mind for the goal. The testing is going to be extreme. Every day, I imagine. Most athletes at that level LIVE for doing athletic stuff.

NFL season ain't gonna happen. And re-opening the other sports will only be a disaster.

This is not the year to worry about sports. You should be worrying about survival.

Anyone who thinks sports should be played this year is out of their damn fool mind.

How stories have their been in the news about people who said, "It can't happen to me" or mocking it? Then they end up on a ventilator and screwed up for life.

People really need to swallow the "red pill". This pandemic doesn't care about your sports.

And would you really believe the statistics by your government anyway in this age of lies?

This is exactly why sports should be played starting ASAP.

well we should have plenty of ventilators available since it wasn't long ago we heard we would need a million of them. Looks like about 130 of the 5,700 in Illinois are being used. I remember the good old days of JB huffing and puffing that Trump didn't get him enough ventilators people are going to DIE if he didn't get 30,000 of them STAT!

Less than a week away! Only 5 of 10,500 samples were positive this week.

Whooping the Cubs ass in meaningless games has got me there. Can't wait for Friday when they start mattering.

Can we not have Robert stealing bases? I'm deathly afraid of injury. Look at this lineup. Station to station baseball is what's called for here.

It's been a nice surprise, especially when the biggest "news" has been stupid, harmless statements by Dwight Howard, and posturing by noted moth, Jimmy Butler.

I just can't get up for this NBA continuation. I'm sure I'll feel differently when the games start but it just seems even more bizarre than MLB

I don't and that's kind of the point. I have nothing better to do and I still feel nothing about this.

I'm not thankful. I think they should have scrapped this and got ready for the regular season that is supposed to start three months from now. But I'll watch.

i'm with FF. It's weird. I think they should have just cancelled the season and started over in Oct/Nov
After months off it's not any kind of 'continuation', it's basically like starting over anyways so what's the point
