Rodon definitely has top-of-the-rotation "stuff", but has never been an Ace.

This season, the Sox cannot afford to give him four or five dick around starts until he pulls his head out of his ass and figures things out. He has looked awful the last few times I have seen him pitch.

Playoff letdown is an understatement, they have lost 16 straight playoff games.

ITs just going to be a very strange season. 60 games is really a joke. In essence, any team that gets off to a good start, say going 12-5or better will have an excellent chance at being in the play-offs. I think that Seattle last year started 12-2 at the start of the season. If a team does that and has good pitching, especially the bull-pen, they will have a good chance at the play-offs where anything can and will happen.

And they added Donaldson. It'll be bad money eventually, but he should be good this year. Should help their defense too as putting him a 3rd gives them a + Glove there and allows them to move Sano to 1st since he was a butcher at 3rd.

Rodon has been consistent around .500 with a 4.00 through most of his career before the year he had to get shut down for surgery. I'd expect the same. That production is worth Eloy Jimenez and Dylan Cease to some teams

That is a solid 6-8 starting pitchers ready to go and I think a solid pen. With the offense that they have, they should be very solid.

They should leave Madrigal in Schaumburg this weekend and see what the fall out from the Cardinals getting an infected guy ends up being on the Twins. Worst thing to do now is bring Madrigal up and then next week have the season stopped. The year they finagled would be useless.
