Chet, I can’t directly stream Hulu through my tv up north because it is out of my home market. However, I can watch Hulu on my ipad or phone. Then I just send the signal to the tv through the mobile device. Easy enough.

How did you mirror Ipad to wireless TV?

Both devices need to be on the same wifi signal. Launch the Hulu app or similar. When the video is running on the mobile device, there is a symbol (see airplay graphic below) that you click on. Then you can send it to smart tv’s.

You're not 87 like my dad... :). He has enough trouble not pressing the Input button by mistake and then wondering why Comcast stopped.

The big fuckup is the MLB.TV blackout rules. In NC I am blacked out from Nationals and Orioles, which is a joke because any non-transplants are Braves fans. But I can watch Cubs games while my dad cannot.

I think there was a time when North Carolina was strong Orioles country, with Orioles farm teams in Charlotte and possibly elsewhere as well. But the deal MLB made with the Nats and Orioles when the Expos moved is that both teams get to have the same territory just like the Cubs and Sox, so now the Nats get to claim the whole state for no clear reason, even though it appears that the fandom is pretty much limited to DC and Northern Virginia. The Braves have always claimed North Carolina as one of their six states (AL, MS, GA, TN, NC, SC), but I don't think the TV maps agree.

I think Asheville is considered Cincinnati territory, oddly enough.

I'm not buying that they have a deal. Why not announce asap so people can sign up for the opener?

...because Comcast is going to deliver your box and run any necessary lines same day so you'll be all good for tomorrow?

This is to prevent people canceling. Any that didn't have a cable or live tv provider and wanted to get Marquee have already gotten Hulu or AT&T. I am ready to proceed with Hulu tomorrow AM if this isn't announced early.
