Yes, as soon as Hendricks gave up the base hit, Joe would have brought in Kimbrel.

hate to admit it but yes that would have happened.

I was so happy to see Ross allow Hendricks to finish the game. I agree with those who expressed that Maddon would have pulled him after the single to Arcia, if not before. Hendricks was outstanding. Hoping to see Baez and Contreras spark the offense today and for Darvish to look like the 2nd half Darvish of last season. Getting off to a good start is imperative this season.

What a bad throw. They sent Rizzo even though the LF had the ball before he got to third.

Throw some pitches why don't Yu. He'll have more pitches than Hendricks by the 5th.

I don't like the fake crowds. We're not playing The Show. And they only use it during certain shots. That makes it more gaudy. Love the cardboard cutouts. Embrace the weird as Amin said. Cutouts > 2K crowd.

I love the crowd noise, for now at least. It seems like ESPN hardly used noise compared to FOX.

The crowd noise creates temporary noise but it doesn't factor in buzz. Yesterday after Ian Happ hit the homer there wasn't that natural energy and excitement that would follow for the rest of the inning with fans in the stadium. It was like nothing happened

It was Milwaukee fans who drove down for the game.

Now FOX decides to put The Show fans behind home plate. I don't have much knowledge in the video production field but I'm guessing they can't put fans in the first 10 rows or so because it would ruin the foreground (batter and pitcher) video quality. I vehemently hate the video game crowd, but I understand FOX is trying different shit out for when playoffs/World Series comes around.

The fans behind home plate all went to the bathroom together. Why do they appear and then disappear?

They can’t put the fake fans in the first 10 rows because they would distract the pitcher.

This game is on close to a 4.5 hour pace of play.
