Rovell's a tool, but there's nothing to disagree about in his post, other than his pointless last sentence.

Are they in far more danger from the season flu?

Beats me. I'm just saying there's nothing to argue with in Rovell's Tweet.

I'm not arguing, Im sincerely asking. I dont know.

Seems like covid is spreading faster than the flu, but I dont have those numbers.

Of course they are.

I wish they'd just be honest about it. But of course that's been true for a while.

If we can't root for our teams because we're a giant fuck-up as a nation that screwed up restarting sports, at least we can root for or against COVID numbers

It seems like a bad idea. Sports can't be shut down forever. It kinda makes the job of sports journalist irrelevant.

Olbermann has been out in front of the doom/gloom thing since the beginning. He predicted the NCAA tournament cancellation and most said he was nuts at the time (myself included)

I would guess that the 'chance of infection percentage' is about even for both, given two unvaccinated individuals in close proximity to each other.. A large amount of Americans get seasonal flu vaccines.

I mean, our winning percentage worldwide is about .960 right now. That's pretty good.

Have to love the worst team in the league is the one that looks as if they are going to end the entire season for everyone.

Kinda sucks for him that the games/stats would probably be wiped from the record books (I assume).

All indications point to this not being a fomite spread virus. Why bring up players going into the visiting players locker room? It will take 1 HR to disinfect.

That's not what this sounds like, but who knows...
-@JeffPassan on why Marlins players who had tested positive still played against the Phillies yesterday.

Maybe there was a day lag in testing/results?

The players that tested positive DID NOT play yesterday. What BS is that show spreading?

https://www.mlb.com/gameday/marlins-vs- ... ame=631126

The 4 that tested positive before yesterday's game were Jorge Alfaro, Jose Ureña, Garrett Cooper and Harold Ramirez.

They gotta get rid of Manfred. Dude had one job and cocked it up first weekend. Between the Astros fire fest and the way he's handled this covid stuff, time for a new commish. Bring in somebody from outside MLB:

Yeah, there is no way a someone that tested positive would have been allowed to play.
