We all get mocked and shitty things are said about nearly every person who posts here. Some of us deserve them and some of the things said about us are true. I've seen the 1 or 2 regular black posters called a racist without any proof or simply because they don't oppose abortion far more than anyone else here. JLN's primary reason for being here is to antagonize people who are liberal or aren't conservative enough. Bouquets aren't generally thrown at a person like that. I doubt he would want them anyway.

It really started with the monkey gif. I suspect it was an innocent post, but it was insensitive. Of course anytime you consistently defend police and blame black victims, you’re going to be open to racial criticism. In reading through JLN’s posts on such matters, I think he is more even handed than some police defenders but still has a natural tilt towards defending police.

It is just a sign of the times where people throw out the term anytime that they don't like someone's opinion regarding black statements or actions. The media does this shit all of the time. If you don't subscribe to what Black Lives Matter stand for, you get tagged as being a racist. When LTG trots out his crap about alleged harmful actions by whites against backs and someone disputes it, then that white person according to LTG is a racist. It is sad that he is so insecure about himself that he needs to lash out incessantly about alleged racism on the part of others.

I don’t throw around the word racist very often, and if I do, it is usually about an action or comment and not directed at an individual. I think prejudiced more appropriately describes some white people. There are very few that actually believe whites are superior to other races.

As for JLN, I met him once, and we got along fine. I think he is a decent person. But he does a lot of needless arguing around this place, which is well within his rights. So the criticism he gets is somewhat self inflicted. No part of me believes he is a racist.

I sit back and read all the back and forth and try to stay neutral. But if I was a person of color posting on here, I would feel under constant assault by certain folks. As if people on here need to call out every ill that plagues minority communities. It is the same disdain I have for people that say silent whites are complicit. As if I (or you) are some single entity with the rest of white America.

You're not wrong denis. But that is one of the very things that has changed about this place, and not for the better in my opinion. I'm not saying that discussions about police or race or inequality should NOT take place, but this used to be a place where people could go to avoid such conversation. Sure those issues would come up every so often, but they were relatively few and far between. Over the last four five maybe six years it seems that people are coming here only to discuss those things. Sports with many regular posters are just an afterthought or a sidebar.

There is no doubt that he is a bigot and his actions speak a lot louder than his words. He has always tried to be careful with his words because he is scared as hell of being doxxed.

If you look at the entirety of his history here you will see that he has a particular hard on for black posters. When Nas was Administrator he repeatedly went after him for decisions that he wasn't responsible for.

I go after him so whatever comes with that is fair game but Nas avoided him and he still attacked him. That isn't a guy that "respectfully disagreed" with him.
