I wouldnt call 49 years old young but that doesnt matter.
They say it is a bad cold for the young and healthy because that is what most of the numbers actually point to. Per the link to IDPH the there have been 32 deaths of people 29 and under. With over 47k confirmed cases that means that .06% of confirmed cases have died and .19% for 39 and younger. Most research also suggests that there are many more unreported cases. While I dont fall into that age category it seems like an impossible task to lock down those people that numbers would suggest there is next to zero chance of fatality. If I were in my 20's and seeing those statistics I would tell you to take your lockdown and masks and fuck off. I dont think a 20-something is seriously worried about cardiac involvement. Can they still go out drink, party, and screw? That is all that matters to them.
