Not really. Usually it is, but really it’s start fast or catch COVID.

The best way to do this season was every 15 games eliminate the shit teams to get more games of the good teams.

A little bit of credit where it is due. I thought Rodon wasn't going to make it out of the second inning. He at least covered a few outs for the Sox early in this game.

I said MANY times he was done(for godsake his shoulder had rotting flesh in it, then a TJ on top of that). Until the other day. The stuff seems fine. Don't forget, this is classic Rodon. He needs 4 starts under his belt to get command. Once he gets command, the change comes into play. He strings together some hellacious starts and then he gets hurt.

Right. I generally do not disagree that it takes Rodon a little bit of time to work up a lather, but the Sox do not have that luxury this season. They've already dug themselves a little bit of a hole and if they don't turn it around soon this could get away from them real quick.

We never counted on Lopez and Rodon anyway. At least I didn't. But I see something there in Rodon. He isn't hopeless.

Please catch McCann tonight. DH Puddin' head. We need all the karma we can get. Bieber struck out 14 his last start.

They are playing the two best teams in the division, both of whom will make the playoffs. I doubt there is a team with a harder schedule up to this point. However, it was reported that the sox would have one of the easiest schedules this season which means that the final 54 are that much easier.

Was it here that someone was breaking down the playoff race for that 8th spot and it basically breaks down to the Sox v. Blue Jays. I like our chances.

Remember, most were only predicting 31-32 wins. 31 wins is 2 games above .500

Their guy going today may be another one. The Sox used to have the pitching too.

I'm not going to say the Sox have the toughest start here, but I agree that the Twins and Indians are good teams. Its the way the Sox are losing. If they were playing crisp defense and pitching well, and losing by a run I wouldn't be as upset.

But one win to this point is not acceptable. The Sox haven't even held a lead in any game they have lost, because they keep giving up a fuckton of runs in the first inning. The Sox had chance after chance after chance in game one yesterday to push across some runs and failed to do so. Minnesota cleaned their clock in two of the three games. There has been shoddy defense at times and questionable decision making by the players and managers. Even in the game the Sox won we saw it. Kuechel is cruising along. Gives up a single, gets two outs, gives up another single. After 75 pitches, Ricky pulls him. Three pitches later, Cruz hits a three run bomb. Kuechel should have been given one batter to get out of that inning, but Ricky does Ricky and goes to the pen. Fortunately it didn't matter because the Sox scored a bunch more runs but that game easily could have gone the other way because of Ricky's stupid move.

I know its "early" but so far it looks like somebody has put a quarter in the merry go around and were back to the same stupid White Sox baseball that we have come to see under Ricky for the most part. Robert, Abreu, and Moncada are the only ones who have been worth a damn to start the season. Yeah, Timmay has hit but he's also made two errors already.

People got a little ahead of themselves after pounding the shitty north side team from the inferior league.

This is a young team not yet ready for prime time. I think they will be ok in this crazy ass season but wouldn't have looked great over 162

They still don't walk enough. And they have been forced to give a ton of at bats to subpar players like Garcia, Delmonico and Medick. The line-up shuffling this early into the "grind" of a 60 game season is ridiculous. What justifies playing a Sunday line-up the first week into a 60 game season?

Jimenez is beyond annoying. How can you continuously be injured running into a wall. It's like something out a Major League direct to video sequel.

The real issue is though, that the starters have been shelled in the first inning in almost every game. Zero growth thus far shown. I've never seen anything quit like it. How can 4/5 starters be so unready to start the season? There is time to turn it around, but Cooper and Renteria need to go if the team is not above .500. Too much bullshit from them to justify letting them a group that is touted so highly.

The Cubs pitching staff still sucks, and you likely have the worst closer in baseball locked into a huge contract. Other than that the future is bright. I also did not anticipate the problems that knocking up a Disney "star" would cause.

Maybe I'm a cockeyed optimist, but I believe Kopech would have covered more than 12 outs and kept his ERA under 9 during his first week. Can't say that about four of the five guys who have started for the Sox so far.

I'd rather Mendick play 2nd every day and bat 8th or 9th than Leury.
