Good start to the year. Going to have to put up a lot of runs or have the starters go deep. I'd like to see Wick get a shot at closing after Kimbrel fucks up again. This rotation has been a nice surprise through 5 games.

So encouraging to see the offense score runs and get timely hits.

Makes the game do much more enjoyable

The Reds go to Detroit after this. They lost 2 of 3 to Detroit at home. Losing tomorrow to Hendricks and then 2 of 3 more in Detroit would crush them in such a short season.

And they threw out a good nugget about how he had 5 straight years with an ERA under 3.00. Something like he's the only Cub reliever to have 3 straight such years.

I know he probably wasnt as good as his numbers looked, but big picture it's still a good feat

Agreed. He was a great cub.

Not a true, true shut down closer but he was a great 8th man and was very reliable overall during his tenure.

And to think he came over in the same trade with Arrieta is pretty amazing

he was really good, but that non-repeatable delivery drove me insane. I'm glad he's gone, I think the Cubs got his best years.
